The Positive Energy Home

The Positive Energy Home

Our home is our haven, our retreat. It’s where we see our mate, family, and friends, and where we spend time alone. It’s where we can let our hair down, relax, celebrate, entertain, meditate, plan, reminisce, eat, sleep, love. It is our spiritual center.  As an extension of our personal energy, it should remind us of where we want life to take us.  If you long for simplicity, then your home should reflect that. If you are on a spiritual path, then let your home set the stage. Begin by creating an enchanted environment for yourself. You want to feel calm and happy here and you’ll find that by using color in a deliberate way you’ll be making your home energetically supportive – a joyful backdrop to your life.

Home is where we can achieve the highest level of Self-Care and Cristina has an extensive Home Energy Toolbag.  She has worked in the field of energy healing for over 20 years and has done many home energy consultations based on what she has coined The Positive Energy Home. Her goal is to facilitate people to get a true fresh start and set the stage for how they want to live. There are many tools available to enhance the energy and quality of your home and she has extensive experience in this area. She offers a variety of Positive Home Energy guidance tools.

Creating a relaxed, personalized, and organized space is the key to meshing well with your customers and clients. The infusion of aromas, strategically selected color schemes, and designated room energies all work in harmony to help define your customers’ and clients’ needs and intentions. Learn how to foster peace and positivity within the space, within your mind, and most importantly, within your customer or client.

The Positive Energy Home at A Glance

  1. Conduct energy clearings through Sage and Palo Santo.

  2. Bless your apartment through candles, sound therapy, and intention.

  3. Rock salt lamps and selenite lamps will ensure positive energy flowing throughout your home. (Make sure that all of your lamps are strategically positioned.)

  4. Define the vibration your clients want to live in. Vibrations set the stage for who your clients are and where they want to go in life.

  5. Nature heals; houseplants raise the vibration of your home and can filter the air.

  6. Make sure your apartment has good feng shui (black hat style).

  7. Give each room its own energetic personality. For example, the bedroom should be a relaxation room and the living room should be reserved for socializing. Use the techniques above to create positive energy environments in each of the rooms in your home.

  8. Create a sacred space. Every home should have a space where you can connect with your source. You want to do this in one area repetitively, so that you build up a morphogenetic field. For instance, if you meditate in one area of your home regularly, each time you practice mediation, you will be able to achieve inner peace at a faster rate because of the specific energy field you’ve created in your sacred space.

  9. Personalize your home. Create your own art and/or strategically place meaningful objects where you can see them. Use these objects as a reminder of the energy you want to achieve in your life.

The Positive Energy Home – Detailed

ROOMS TO BREATHE IN

Our home is our haven, our retreat. It’s where we see our mate, family, and friends, and where we spend time alone. It’s where we can let our hair down, relax, celebrate, entertain, meditate, plan, reminisce, eat, sleep, love. It is our spiritual center.  As an extension of our personal energy, it should remind us of where we want life to take us.  If you long for simplicity, then your home should reflect that. If you are on a spiritual path, then let your home set the stage. Begin by creating an enchanted environment for yourself. You want to feel calm and happy here and you’ll find that by using color in a deliberate way you’ll be making your home energetically supportive – a joyful backdrop to your life..

To change the vibrational energy in your home, there are a few basic axioms to keep in mind.

Get rid of all clutter

It disturbs the mind on an unconscious level, lowering your tolerance for others and preventing you from radiating your inner light and joy.

Cleanse  Use a sage stick to cleanse the house regularly and bring in fresh energy.

Be thoughtful about the objects you surround yourself with. This is not a question of economics, it is a question of choosing things that are meaningful to you. If you don’t like an object in your house it has to go, no matter how much it cost or who gave it to you.

Avoid what we call  “poverty consciousness”

Hanging onto possessions because you feel that you never have enough promotes stale stagnant energy. Release and let go to allow new energy to come into your life.

Take care of your home.

When we take care of our surroundi.ngs we instantly enter a new state of awareness. Like Eastern monks tending their meditation gardns, we have a sense of satisfaction when we have undertaken and completed a project. The forward movement keeps us in the present, opening up our crown chakra.

Use color

There are not many rooms that take more than three days to paint and it is well worth it. Few symbolic fresh new starts are more powerful than changing the color of your room. We have personally found this to be the way out of many funks that can make the difference between feeling depressed and inspired. Changing the frequency of your environment changes the frequency of your situation.  Also the commitment to, for example, painting a bedroom in a shade of green to energize your heart center and work on matters of love is exactly the kind of affirmation it takes to set growth in motion.

Always check in with your intutiton.  Shut your eyes and ask yourself what color does this room need? .   As you develop your sensitivity to subtle energies and begin to trust your instincts, you will find that they will never steer you wrong.

Making Color Choices

RED needs to be used judiciously as an interior color because it energizes and activates, evoking a very powerful response. It also makes a room appear smaller.  When you want coziness and intensity, as perhaps in an entry hall or dining room, red can work well. Lush and tempting as it may be, red is a no-no for the bedroom. Red in the bathroom is also problematic: But burgundy is fine..

Because red activates our base emotions and primal instincts, it can cause us to act thoughtlessly or aggressively. So if you are living with red and find yourself prone to arguments and spats with your family or mate, change this color or use it sparing, balancing it with golden yellows or greens.

Amusement arcades and casinos deliberately use red to cater to our base instincts and promote feelings of excitement.

One red story I found especially touching is about a woman who was suffering from postpartum depression. Not feeling sexy was her biggest complaint. She told me that about three months after her daughter was born she had the urge to paint her bathroom red. I wondered if the bathroom was the only place she felt she could be alone with her husband and if she was unconsciously setting up a sex area just for them. The answer, to my surprise, was no. This was her place. She would spend hours in there rebuilding her sense of self and inner sense of sexuality. As her depression began to lift, she painted the window frames orange and yellow. She essentially had created a space where she could rebuild herself from the base chakra up. It was fascinating.

ORANGE, which also connotes strong feelings, has some of the same limitations as red for interiors.  It stimulates appetite and is commonly used in fast food restaurants as is yellow.  For the home, it needs to be used sparingly.  For example, in our first apartment,Tony and I had an old, unfashionable couch that looked terrible.  We bought an orange sheet to cover it hoping to lift our spirits. It seemed all right at first until one day I was overcome with the urge to get rid of it immediately; I was having a fit. Tony admitted that he’d been feeling antsy, too, so in no time, the orange sheet became curtains. The smaller amount of orange worked well on the windows  creating a subtle glow in the morning light that encouraged activity.  As for the couch, we covered it with a pale blue throw and were much happier—and calmer. All mistakes are just experiences that help to teach us what is good or bad for us personally, it’s all subjective, and it’s all trial and error.

YELLOW is good for a room where you read and/or work.  It’s bright and uplifitng plus it stimulates the intellect and aids in strengthening your inner power and self esteem.

GREEN and BLUE are great for promoting relaxation and sound sleep and so naturally they are the colors we encourage for bedrooms. One friend of ours was suffering from insomnia.  For months, she experienced a powerful urge to paint her bedroom deep green, an impulse that surprised her because dark green had never been one of her favorite colors.  In the end, she decided to try it and she hasn’t had a night of insomnia since. Restful green was just what the doctor ordered.

Another friend, having recently suffered the loss of her father, felt compelled to paint her bedroom blue. What she didn’t realize at the time is that blue eases loneliness. She was listening to her body’s needs and benefiting from soothing blue energy to relieve her grief.

VIOLET is a receding color, and makes a room appear larger.  Violet makes for a contemplative living space, ideal for bathrooms and dreamy bedrooms. We painted our bedroom area violet not only because it was very small but also because violet helps stimulate dreams and spirituality. I experienced an increase in lucid dreams and from these dreams got inspiration for some of our more unique nail colors. I would suggest painting a room violet when you are going through dramatic emotional periods of your life. It will help your connection with the universe and inspire you to listen to your body and what it needs.

WHITE. Since white carries an otherworldly quality, it needs to be balanced with pictures, plants, crystals and mirrors.  White is a good choice when you want to make a room appear lighter and/or bigger as are all pastel colors.

The Color Correct Home

This blueprint for a vibrationally correct home will provide you with a starting point from which you may apply color in your own way.  Check out your intuitive feelings against our color guidelines for specific rooms. But as a general guidline have lots of plants and flowers, lifeforce brings good energy. Keep your home free from clutter and filled with things you love.

 The Entrance

First impressions are big impressions so the color that first welcomes people into your home is important. Red can indicate excitement and  promise liveliness within. Blue may reflect a family with strong independent opinions. Green and pink announce warmth, perhaps a home where harmony and loving feelings are paramount. Yellow indicates a family where ideas and the intellect are valued.   Hanging photographs of family and friends in the entrance is a welcoming touch and can also remind you of the love in your life when you come home after a long day.

The Living Room

When you think about it, the words “living room” make a big statement since where and how we live affect our energy system and our overall happiness. Unfortunately all too many living rooms aren’t lived in at all – they’re off limits to the family. We disapprove and believe the living room should always have a welcoming, lived in air and evoke a feeling of happiness and joy.

Warm colors are good choices for this room.  Deep colors might make the room look smaller but they can have therapeutic effects as well. A deep burgundy might give a safe feel, a sexy feel. A burnt orange will promote sociability and sensuality and help bring conversations to an intuitive level. But in general, you’ll want to go with calming colors for your dominant color.  A blue will stimulate conversation and calm the nerves. Green and blue is a good combination because it promotes loving communication and relaxation. You can use bright and stimulating colors in splashes, accessorizing with  paintings, flowers, pillows, vases and  throws.

Keep a strong and loving life force flowing in your home and especially in the living room.. Plants are great for energy and aesthetics. Crystals can purify and stimulate conversation. Your own artwork on the walls can be a source of inspiration and conversation. Photographs of you in a special moment will remind you that you are loved and have achieved. Your living room should reflect your life.

The Dining Room

Since eating is a time for connecting with friends and family, effective honest conversation can be stimulated with blues, violet, or a muted orange, one mixed with a blue or green. Reds and oranges will encourage a more romantic fiery mood. Eating can be a sensual time so deep burgundies, deep violets and greens or a burnt orange would work as well. It’s interesting that the bright oranges used in fast food chains promote sociability but don’t say relax and stay a while, whereas a darker, more muted orange does. The same is true for yellow. Whatever color you choose, colored votives can really lend the room a magical light.

The Kitchen

For many people, the kitchen is  the most important room in the house —  half the TV sitcoms take place in the kitchen. It’s where we meet and talk with our family and with friends, too. Maybe our social awkwardness prompts us to need a reason to be hanging out together and in the kitchen we have the reason, helping the cook. Cooking is so crucial to our energy system, not just in terms of what we are eating but in how we prepare the food. The energy that we put into food we cook is the energy we will be eating and sharing, so we want it to be positive. Color can aid in this process but there is no substitute for positive thought.

Keeping positive energy in mind, you’ll want to use colors that are warm and  friendly. As basic general rules we’d stay away from bright or dark oranges, blue, red and unbelievably enough yellow. So many of us grew up with yellow kitchens!. Peach, apricot, coral and the like are good to use, as are other colors that are subtle.  Strong bright colors can be intrusive and can stimulate strong emotion that may encourage negative interaction, rushed conversation, a lack of thoughtfulness and a lack of harmony.

I personally didn’t want to paint my kitchen so I’ve covered the walls with photographs of friends and other images that make me happy. I think a happy kitchen can help emotional eaters resist attempting to fill that hole they feel in their belly with food rather than with the love they are really craving.

The Bedroom

This room is our sanctuary, our safe place from the world where we can let go, visualize positive realities for ourselves, make love and of course sleep. Regardless of which of these activities is most important to you, we’ll say this, do not paint your bedroom completely red! We know a woman who did this because she loves the color so much and wanted to stimulate her lovemaking. Of course she’s an insomniac.  For sexual energy, she could splash the room with red through trim or accessories but stick with blues and greens for getting a good night’s sleep.

You don’t want anything too powerful in the bedroom. In general we need to recharge our batteries here, refuel and balance our energy system. So the atmosphere should be balanced and calm. When we sleep our deep breathing puts us in a mind state that is open to suggestion.  We become more receptive than we are in our nonsleeping state and can absorb the positive frequencies of colors more easily. Again, the light blues and greens seem to be the best choice but anything is ok as long as it’s soft.  Add uplifting and nurturing energy with splashes of color.

We also want to mention aroma for the bedroom. Buy a diffuser to burn real essential oils or buy aromatherapy candles that have real essential oils in them. These scents affect us just as color does. Lavender is a general overall great choice to balance and relax. Bergamot is one of my favorites and the combination of both is great. I always have scents around; it really positively affects my system. Go to a department store or health food store and treat yourself to candles and oils. (But remember, only real essential oils are therapeutic.)

The babies room

Here you want to be very careful. You want to encourage response but you also don’t want to overstimulate. Studies conducted at Harvard have shown that black and white patterns stimulate mental processes and increase intelligence during the first few months of life; thus the black and white mobiles available for newborns.  By about three months, babies respond to bright colors.  Birren says yellow is usually the most enticing followed by white, pink and red.  .But until the baby is eighteen months old, use these colors sparingly and stick to calming, nurturing pale pastels for the walls.

In general blue is a very healing color for infants and children.  Pale blue, as the predominant color is best; its vibrations will subconsciously act on the infant helping to communicate needs. Use splashes of pale green and pink to promote unconditional love from the very beginning. Please don’t color discriminate by gender! We all need a balance of colors that include assertiveness and nurturing. So don’t deprive a boy of pink and green or a girl of blue. We need to start taking responsibility for eliminating gender specific stereotypes. They have no place in the new world.

Children’s Bedrooms

If you have a say in the matter, I’m sure you’d want to promote balance, self-confidence and the intellect but you may find the little person has ideas of his or her own. Just remember kids have a great innate instinct that guides them and we must respect that and allow the many inevitable phases to play out. But if you are allowed to contribute your two cents worth, just give them some of the information you’ve learned here and let them decide. You might actually go over the different color effects together and decide which colors would enhance your mutual goals and desires.

The Bathroom

This is the one place in the house where we are never disturbed and because of our immunity to interruption, we can relax.  Even though blue is a relaxing color, too dark a blue can promote depression.so be careful about that. Light colors in the coral family are good. Place a plant or crystal in this room to counteract the draining of energy that happens when the water goes down the drain or is being flushed. No matter how small your bathroom may be, there is always ceiling room for a small green plant.

 The Study

Whether your study is a room unto itself or a corner, you want to create a stimulating and relaxing environment. Yellow is good as a dominant color, blue is good for communication andcalm, splashes of white and blue will keep work flowing and avoid its becoming stale. Flowers and plants are helpful; you need life force around you for positive stimulati.  Have books around that you’ve enjoyed and if you’re brave enough, put up painting or drawing of your own to remind you of your creative energy.

 The Office

Color can be used in office spaces to increase productivity and focus. In work environments, warm blues can create an overly relaxed atmosphere that is not conducive to productivity and efficiency.  On the other hand, certain strong, dark colors create chaos and distraction.  Cool blues, greens and turquoise  are good for office spaces; they don’t get in the way and they create an atmosphere of relaxed purpose.

Private Space or Altar

In ancient times there were many good luck symbols to bless a household and color was significant in each. In Ireland, Syria, India, Mexico and Constantinople the symbol of the red hand was used on a wall or door to shield the occupants from harm. In Jerusalem a blue hand was used for the same reason. I feel every alter should represent what connects you to your source energy and this can be anything…my home alter is very diverse.

Having a place you constantly return to for a specific reason creates a particular energy in that area. That’s why creating an altar and or a meditation area is so powerful. You don’t have to have a separate room for this purpose.  Your special place can be any part of a room. Perhaps it is simply a chest covered in purple silk in the corner of your bedroom.  Mine is.

Your altar is where you place things that remind you of your selflove and inner empowerment. It can be anything from a stone taken from a place where you had a spiritual experience to a picture to a crystal — whatever. My altar has objects I consider magical that have positive emotional memories for me of moments when I felt connected to myself and the universe.

It is said that wearing the same garment when spending time in your altar space adds to the spiritual energy of this area.  When this is done repeatedly, just putting the garment on or sitting in your place will ignite a specific spiritual state of mind and centeredness. I often put on my blue silk Tibetan dress before I meditate.  Violet is also a good color to wear. Whatever represents your personal spirituality is good. White will help you adapt to whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.  Whether it be finding your inner beauty and power, alleviating stress, resolving a problem or just connecting with a higher positive force, it is important to be open to whatever it is your instincts guide you to do. Whenever I sit in my small place (I try for a minimum of three days a week) I feel the power and it fills me with joy.

If You Don’t Want to Paint

If you want to change the color energy in a room but find the idea of painting your walls too daunting, there are many other possibilities:

      –     Just paint your door or window frames

  • Solarize the room with solarized water or transparent silk curtains.
  • Wear color energy
  • Do color visualization
  • Do color meditation
  • Take a color energy shower
  • Place flowers in the room
  • Use colored sheets
  • Sleep with colored crystals

I’ve tried the curtains and found it a perfect alternative. Decide on the color you need and buy silk fabric making sure it’s opaque enough to block the view from outside and transparent enough to allow sunlight to penetrate.  You want to create a glow. Let’s say you’ve decided on green fabric.  During the day the sunlight will light the room with a green luminescence at the same time giving it green color energy.  At night the color will be opaque but you’ll still have the green vibrations  stored from the frequency of green light filling the room all day long..

Grounding

Earth’s healing energies are a vital part of our over-all health.

Just Some of the Benefits of Grounding:
 Helps to polarize and balance your bodies’ energy
 Promotes feeling centered
 Encourages feeling confident
 Re-vitalizes chi/core energy
 If you feel like your head is in the clouds, grounding will help you focus

Grounding Suggestions:

1. Earthing
My favorite way to stay grounded is to walk barefoot on our beautiful earth, preferably on lush grass but anyplace you love is perfect. Walk, run, dance or stand still – whatever feels good is good for you. I would just suggest taking a moment to stand still with hands on your thighs and take a few slow deep breadths in your nose and out your mouth. With each breadth let the roots in your feet gently go down deep into the earth and allow earths energies to flow into your roots and up into your body – it can feel very strengthening to your soul but there is a gentleness also.
Make sure to wiggle your feet and toes around and even down into the ground if you can, it feels fun and inspires a childlike openness.

2. Earthling Hands
Just as we walk barefoot in in the grass to ground ourselves we can also place the palms of our hands firmly onto the earth and this feeds us earths healing powers. It empowers us with its strength and love and it feels deeply comforting.

Stand barefoot, taking deep slow breathes for a moment or two and center your intention within and from within kneel down and place the palms of your hands firmly on mother earth. Let your hands move around and find the perfect a spot that feels right and let them be open and spread wide physically and non-physically. Let the energy of your hands become receptors for earths beautiful healing force, to it’s life-force, and let it fill you. Do this as long as it feels right to you.

At the end of this you can change your intention and send thanks / gratitude back to earth. When I have done this in the past I feel the earth gratitude for my gratitude and it makes me smile and laugh every time. It’s all subtle energy but beautifully powerful energy!

3. Getting And Giving A Hug From Mother Earth
Stand on the earth as mentioned above, in #1, but this time hold the palms of your hands facing downward and set the intention that nature’s energies are lovingly reaching up and into your hands, take some deep breathes, open your energies and you will feel it!

*** I have also stood in this position with one slight variation – my hands / palms were facing outward as if I was getting ready to hug someone – in this case the earth and I have felt waves of energy that seemingly come from all directions to meet me gently and it feels like the earths energies are hugging me and I hug back. It is one of the most joyful experiences of oneness you can have as the earth and your energies meet through your hands, feet and through every cell in your body – this one is beyond grounding, it’s profoundly spiritual. You can really feel the earth’s incredible power. The earth is hugging your soul!

*** Another suggestion is trying to lay flat on the earth with the side of your face on the earth, palms on the earth, with the intention you are telling the earth how much you love her and how sorry you are we are hurting her. I have found this to be very powerful. Just allow yourself time to energetically join the earths energies in love and gratitude.

4. Sitting or Standing Up Against A Tree
This will ground you for sure, and it will absorb any energy you need / want to release.
Try closing your eyes and feel yourself connect with the tree and its deep roots. Your roots reach out to connect deep into the earth and to wrap around a large stone or to the trees roots itself – whatever feels right to you. In this position, up against the tree, you can send not only the roots from your feet but also from a cord that stems out of the base of your spine – let it reach down into the earth and / or the tree itself to release and receive.
Now set your intent about what you want to release and / or receive – this could be getting rid of negativity in general, excess energy or something specific. There are no rules. Then take a few deep slow breathes and affirm you are letting go and feel energy pour out your feet and / or cord – it can be a subtle feeling at first but with mindfulness and by listening to your internal landscape you will begin to feel the flow of your energies. Empowering. Then ask the tree to send you the energies you need, like grounding, confidence, security and whatever you need through its deep roots and it happily will. Trees are very friendly and smart, check out this incredible video by Professor Suzanne Simard! And this is a great article as well!

5. Figure-8ing With Tress
I discovered this – if anyone really discovers anything – at the Omega Institute the last day I was assisting Donna Eden on one of her amazing 5-day trainings. I felt some release surfacing and went outside and sat up against a tree, as I do, and suddenly I lost it – sobbing. The waves of emotion began to match the waves I felt between another tree directly in from of me about 100 feet away? It was across a clearing and there were other trees but I knew this one was the one sending me energy too. I closed my eyes and clearly saw and felt a radiant figure-8 going between the trees and I was inside one of the 8’s. It was transcending and the happy tears of release streamed away and I felt my energy deepen into the earth and intertwine with these two trees. It was profound. I felt amazing after!

6. Spooning The Feet, And Hands
Our physical body has polarities – our head is the north polarity and our feet the south. Sometimes due to life or shifting earth energies they get reversed and using a stainless steal spoon to correct your polarities is wonderful! This is very important for grounding because our feet are where you take in the earth’s yin and healing energy.

With a stainless steel spoon, use the round side; rub all over the bottoms of your feet. Rub every-where, even the sides. Try doing figure-8’s with the spoon too. You can actually use the front side of the spoon, or even a fork but not too hard, if the other way isn’t working or you may want to just try a new variation. It’s an option but just be careful of how hard you press – it should feel firm but gentle.

Spooning the feet will correct the polarity on your head but to make sure your head is correctly polarized you can use your hand – flip your hand back and forth so that the palm is down and flip it over so the back of your hand is flat on the head – you can do this quickly and it corrects any imbalances…speaking of hands…

Our hands have polarities too so spooning them is very helpful. If your polarities are not correct you will not be able to connect with someone when you shake their hand – let alone if you are using your hands for healing work. An interesting note about shaking hands – if you want to really connect with someone use both your hands when shaking them. One hand is shaking and the other is gently placed on the back of the other persons hand and this creates a complete energetic connection. Bill Clinton always did this and is perhaps why so many people reported feeling an instant connection with him. Basically carry a spoon with you at all times, joking, but do remember your hands have electromagnetic energy so if there is no spoon in sight just use them to correct all your polarities by flipping them facing up and down.

Our non physical body has polarities too – about a foot over our head, over our heart and between our legs, this is best to energy test for but I see no harm in gently using your hands over these areas just in case.

These are a great Eden energy Medicine Technique.

7. Grounding With A Hematite Crystal
Hematite is a very grounding stone and when all else fails I always put a tumble hematite stone on the side of each pinky toe and I just sit there for a few minutes – you usually can feel it when you’ve grounded – trust your intuition! But, it’s a great quick fix.

Try this Grounding Visualization.

Healers note:
Healing energy travels faster through earth than air so if you are doing long distance healing for someone try and lay on the ground palms facing down and send out the healing! When I do Skype sessions I have a small square of green grass (you can buy them at a plant store / nursery / farmers market) and I place my feet on it to increase the energy transmission – and it is helpful in releasing energy for you and your client.

And, being barefoot in the grass, as mentioned above, is very grounding.

The Wayne Cook

The Wayne Cook. Sit down with your right leg ankle over the left knee. Place your right hand over the bottom of your right foot and the left hand over the right ankle, holding it. If you look down it should look like your wrists are crossing over each other. While breathing in, lift your ankle in an upward motion so that you feel a little stretch and bring it back down on the exhale. If this is too hard for you, do what you can and it will be enough. It feels goofy at first but smile while you’re doing this – it adds to the emotional benefit of creating happiness. Do this on both sides at least three or four times, whatever feels right to you. Finish by bringing your hands together in a pyramid shape (finger together, palms apart) and placing your thumbs on your third eye (the space between your brows). Take three deep breaths and let go. This is going to help keep your energy unscrambled and will help if you are feeling overwhelmed. It clears the mind, enabling you to focus better and it’s especially helpful forpeople who are dyslexic, inarticulate or have a stutter.

Crossovers

Crossovers

All of our bodies energy systems need to crossover in order to act and interact harmoniously and create optimal health and energy in our body on all levels – physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritually and of course energetically. This is the natural pattern of almost all our energies. Even right down to our DNA – which is a spiraling double helix crossing over and our right brain controls the left side of our body and right brain controls the left side – crossovers everywhere on every level of our being, even into our auric field – our body’s wisdom and need for crossovers is infinite!

When you are Homolateral it can stop all your other systems from operating in an optimal way so by making sure your energies are crossing over it allows your inner-physician to shine. I have listed various versions of how to incorporate crossovers into your life so scroll down. The goal of Eden Energy Medicine is to offer you as many alternative versions of any given self-care tool so that you can find just the right one for you!

If some of the self-care exercises on my site are not working for you try this exercise everyday or twice a day – sometimes our triple warmer will be on alert and this can cause you to be Homolateral thus hindering the harmonious interweaving of all your energy systems, which is how you can live a high vibration life where you are your healthiest self. So calm triple warmer and that will open up space for you to become a magnificent symphony of health, love and joy.

Much of this information is based on Eden Energy Medicine – if you are not familiar with it or her it’s a must! It’s the future of medicine and the future is now!

The Regular Cross Crawl

Benefits:
✴ Increases energy and helps if you chronic fatigue
✴ Enhances balance and co-ordination
✴ Balances right and left brain functioning allowing for optimum performance of your entire body and mind

How to:
Marching in place – or sitting, cross one hand to meet the opposite leg/knee. If you can it’s a good idea to let the arm crossing over to pass over your third eye as it moves to meet the knee on your opposite side. Do this as much as feels right to you but at least for about 30 seconds.

Homolateral Repatterning
Again feel free to watch our video version of this. Also see the how to from the source, our teacher and mentor Donna Eden.

I would do it this way all the time honestly. It can’t hurt and ordinary daily tasks can throw our energies into a Homolateral pattern (moving parallel) and that is just not what our energy wants or needs.
I would add that if you know you are Homolateral do this exercise at least 3-4 times a day. When I was severely Homolateral I had to do this every 30 minutes because my body would not “hold” the correct energy pattern.

Benefits: The Benefits Are For All Alternative Versions Too.
✴ Re-patterns your energy to crossover – the natural state our energy wants to flow
✴ Increases energy and helps if you chronic fatigue
✴ Helps you overcome depression
✴ In-creases your ability to heal
✴ Enhances balance and co-ordination
✴ Balances right and left brain functioning allowing for optimum
performance of your entire body and mind

How to:
Standing up, you are going to “march” in place in two ways – the wrong way and then the right way. The wrong way is lifting the same leg and same arm. The right way is lifting one leg to meet the opposite hand. If you can it’s a good idea to let the arm crossing over to pass over your third eye, this deepens the correction.
12 wrong/12 right, 12-wrong/12 rights and then 12-wrong/24 right.
You double the correct crossover the last time because this is how you want your energy to stay.

If you are physically not able to do this standing up or if you can’t reach your knee to elbow, don’t worry, just do what you can.
Do it sitting or lying down. Even the slightest intention of this movement will help, as will visualization. If you want to help a disabled friend, you can actually do this for another person by lifting her arms and legs for her and for anyone you cannot move / Paraplegics Donna Eden has great information.

Alternate Version #1
Using Figure-8’s.
Janie Chandler and Laurel Camden present in this video a fantastic way for anyone in who was in the military or for anyone who just doesn’t respond to the other corrections or if you want a quick and simple tool when you have limited time. I do it lying in bed sometimes and I can really feel my body responding!

It uses the power of the Figure-8 to create the crossover energy in our bodies. All you have to do is trace or lightly massage a figue-8 over your eyes. It doesn’t matter which way you go but you are creating horizontal 8’s over your eyes. Start in the middle / on your 3rd eye and then from there you choose which way feels most natural to you, moving lets say down below the right eye, moving to follow the outside of your eye to the top of your right eye and you land on your 3rd eye but you pass it by and continue to down under your left eye and again follow the outside of your eye to the top of the left eye and again you land on the 3rd eye and keep repeating this patterns, breathing deeply for at least 4-5 times.

Alternative version #1.1
Using Figure-8’s.
Dr. Melanie Smith has an incredible video of how to use figure-8’s to create crossovers in many powerful ways!

Alternative Version #2
Lacing the Nadis.
Stephanie Eldringhoff, Ph.D., first introduced me to this technique and I am aware that other modalities may teach this in a slightly different way – it’s all great stuff! Be on the lookout for a post only focusing on this – Stephanie has generiously given permission for us to reveal a sneak peek of her upcoming book so we will show Lacing the Nadis and it’s protocol in depth very soon!

I don’t have a video for this one but it is so simple, yet so powerful! The exciting news is I will soon be posting a chart of how to do this with a detailed explaination straight from the source Stephanie Eldringhoff, ph.D – Coming soon!

How too:
All you have to do is place your hands on the top of your head, palms crossing over each other and take a few slow deep breadths. Then you are going to cross-over or better worded weave all the way down your body and note in some positions your hand / harms will not be crossed over, remember you are weaving down your body. You really cannot do this wrong. I would use your intuition but as a guide take 2-3 deep breadths in each position.

Cross over to your temples
Then to your cheeks
Then to shoulders
Then to under your arm pits
Then to under your breasts
Then to the sides of your waist
Then to your hips
Then to the top or side of your upper thighs
Then to right above your knees, on the outer side of your legs
Then to between your knees
Then to the outer upper calf
Then to the inner angle
And then with your hands crossed over sweep them off your feet

Alternative version #3
The Hook Crossover.
This is a relatively new technique Donna Eden has presented and it’s super easy!

How to:
You put your left hand on your right shoulder and take a deep breadth and then with a very very firm touch pull with your fingers over your shoulder and slide your hand down your body diagonally / towards and down the entire left side of your body. Now you this on the opposite side the same way. Put your right hand over your left shoulder, deep breadth and then stringing pull your fingers over your left shoulder and let your hand slide down diagonally the right side of your body.
Always make sure to let your hands fully go from should to off the feet – it’s like you sweep it off your feet.
Do this a few times and you’re all set!

Maintain Your Healthy Crossover Energy Habit
Very firmly drag your fingers from your right shoulder to your left hip (or to left foot) and then drag fingers from left shoulder to right hip (or to right foot). You can do this in a very quick and flowing fashion…it can even look and feel like a dance.

For fun try using Poi Balls – they are a super fun way to fix and maintain your crossover energy.

What beautiful self-care tools to have to help yourself and others! Enjoy!

Making Vibrational Remedies & Testimonials

Behind The Scenes: Vibrational Remedies

As a healer and artist creating healing formulations is sacred, magical, radiant and joyful work. I want to empower every person to lovingly change the vibration of our planet – one person, and product, at a time. There is an energy transformation happening on our planet right now and we all need support in different ways. Knowing this is one of the reasons I began creating oil blends that will support people through this global shift, and through everyday life.

The creation of these products is approached multi-dimensionally – to honor all the many levels, aspects and needs of who you are. They support the interconnectedness that exists between all things – we are all one! When I am making products I have music on, all my energy tools, crystals and plants around me and my heart, and energy, is connected to Aluna (Mother Earth, Ocean Mama, Father Universe). Being in service to others and our world is important, it’s apart of the process. My intent is for these products to help you have a healthier and happier life…I want to connect you with the beauty within and around you, for you to feel and see your radiance. I probably use way too much of my own products but why not I say:)! They have become a trusted support system for me. They help my skin stay youthful and healthy and keep my energy systems harmoniously radiant. They keep me connected with Aluna, which keeps me balanced and happy in everyway.

Tony&Tina products are formulated to support, nourish and protect your entire energy system as well as your body from head to toe. Our products are infused with Energy Medicine, Reiki, Sound Therapy, the Radiance of Aluna and Positive Intentions to increase their intended effect. I take this part of products creation very seriously, it’s not an afterthought – it’s a key ingredient!

I keep in mind plant consciousness – many are now acknowledging the sentience of plants, some goverments like Ecuador and New Zealand have given nature rights as a sentient being and the indigenous tribes have been put in charge of their land. Learn more about Plant Conciousness and it’s intelligent network. With this in mind I make sure to give great honor, gratitude and love to every ingredient. Every part of each products creation is treated as a sacred act.

I use Crystals in almost all our products and it is important to mention I do so as ethically as I can. They are a healing life-force given to us from Mother Earth. They generate different frequencies that can then be programed to support our energy in many different ways. Through mindful intention the crystals I use benefit the products and the wearer. I use crystals, and all our ingredients, with honor and respect to earth, this is an important part of the creation process.

My intention is also to present you with lifestyle support to help you feel healthy, happy, loved and connected with nature. All of our products have the intent to support you through all your life shifts. Each product is linked to a Complementary Self-Care Exercise that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine with benefits you can feel.

This is all apart of a Mindful Self-Care Lifestyle. Self-care is a powerful tool empowering your inner healer to awaken. This gives you the power to shift your energy towards complete health, love and joy. With all my heart I hope to bring more health and happiness into your life – the positive global shift starts with us! We are all beings of love and light and everything is possible. There is a great awakening on our planet right now and everything we create is intended to support you during this time of transformation.

Creating Space Through Forgiveness

Creating Space Through Forgiveness
Mayan Shamanic Journey: Part 5

Also see Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four

WWe were having a fire ceremony at night that focused on forgiveness. For over 4000 thousand years the Mayans have used stones carved into a round shape, some had carvings on them and they are raised about half a foot off the ground, they were everywhere, it was amazing! The fire was blazing on this ceremonial stone and most of us were on our knees hands in payer position or hands on our hearts and of course on the earth. Our Tata said BE HONEST, what harm have you done to others? Whether you meant it or not be honest about your feelings, do you have jealousy, resentment etc. The way he said, “be honest” gave the word honesty such meaning and clarity. I felt like I was in a trance, I began to see people’s faces and situations pop up in my minds eye and saw the bad and negative things I’ve done throughout my life – it was all flashing by – and I kept saying I am so sorry, I’m so sorry. Emotion rose up and I felt my heart crying in apology. Then we were asked to forgive ourselves and I went through the same process. Then we switched to forgiving those that have harmed us and again I saw pictures flashing by of situations and people who had hurt me and I forgave. It was beautifully emotional. My heart felt expanded and cleansed. With each deep breath I could feel the new space in my heart center, and the space felt radiant.

Now a story, which to me shows so much how our vibration affects others and how we all hold up mirrors for each other. During the beginning part of the trip I had this unspoken tension with one of the girls, we could barely look at each other, and I realized during this ceremony I was jealous of her – I’ll skip the meaningless reasons why but I saw it clearly. I also saw how I have pushed down the idea that I could be jealous of someone because it’s just not an energy I am in vibration with, or so I thought! It was kind of shocking when I realized this emotion was apart of me. I asked for forgiveness from her and for myself, I felt ashamed I had felt that towards her. I was deeply sorry. I released these negative feelings into the earth and the fire completely evaporated it from my internal landscape and my vibration changed. The very next day the girl and I began to look each other in eye and connect. A few days after that were laughing together, speaking openly and I looked at her with love and still do. I wonder if I was a mirror for her in any way? But the big take away is that I let that emotion and all the feelings attached to it go. A weight was lifted and space was created because that emotion was now cleared away.

I have always known how the bigger issues, and the stories we hold onto, in life can take up so much space within you that it hinders your energy systems plus takes up space that can otherwise be used for positive things. It unbelievably did not occur to me that these little things were actually bigger than I thought and take up valuable space within.

What a great realization and gift to have this awareness so I can be mindful of it moving forward in life. Once I forgave myself it then changed my vibration, which then changed the relationships around me. The interconnectedness of everything is amazingly beautiful! I find it comforting as well to see such a clear example how we do control our own energy and can change whatever we do not like. We can broaden our perspectives and find entire new views and/or let go of old ones that then liberate us. The potential we all have for personal growth is limitless and that blows me away with gratitude!

I’m really grateful to that girl for allowing me this experience. I am grateful for our Tata always asking and encouraging us to BE HONEST with ourselves. That can be a “big ask” for some people and the journey can be painful. Looking into the mirror of who you are isn’t always pretty but when you bravely look and see the truth and then create positive changes based on what you did not like…well that’s a huge gift to yourself. You come out the other side energetically lighter and happier, and probably a kinder person.

I’d like to mention Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine here about internal space. Donna says whether it is good or bad we can become filled up with too much energy. Energy needs and wants space and when we hold onto too many things we fill ourselves. We need to be mindful of the space within us and how it is vital to our happiness that we have room for new, better and wondrous energies and emotions to come into our being. The blow out exercise is great for this! Even when things are going great for me I do blow outs with the intention of releasing excess energy so that I always have room for great surprises to come into my life and energy field.

A note about this Photo (by Rick Maitri): We climbed this pyramid after the fire ceremony and I did the most magical Connecting Heaven & Earth on top of it. I am one of those lights on the top – pure magic!

A related story about internal space
I was feeling blank for a few days, again, I mentioned in another post how I felt blank during the beginning of our Mayan journey, but it happened again about a month later and I thought oh no what’s wrong with me, I can’t focus, I can’t think and I just said to myself ok ok, I accept being blank. When I had felt blank on the trip it allowed amazing realizations to appear so I thought maybe this is a good thing? I had a big business meeting and I am a preparer but because I was “blank” I didn’t prepare as I usually wood. I just said to the universe, “I trust you”. I put together a nice goody bag of our Tony&Tina products and did some blow outs and off I went to my meeting and whoa! I had the space to accept fantastic things. I came out of the meeting with more good stuff than I ever would have imagined. I really believe it is the space I created in my energy that allowed me to attract great things in this situation. If I had been full-up…?

I sum it up like this:
Forgive and let it go.
Be brave and look into the mirrors in your life.
Keep your heart and mind open, always!
Blow out excess energy as a daily ritual so that you have more internal space because you never know where or how life’s gifts will show up.
Be open, show up and see what happens!

These are happy acts:)

Finding Deep Self-Love

Finding Deep Self-Love
A Portal To Pleiades: Mayan Journey: Part 4

Also see Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Five

Tina’s Note:
This experience was so powerful and sacred I am having a hard time capturing it on paper, it may still be processing and it’s extremely esoteric, so I will continue to work on it but I wanted to share as much of it as I could in this moment. I have broken it up into sections so you can skip parts you may not be interested in. This photo by Rick Maitri is inside the ruin while the following story was happening – pure magic!

The Story Leading Up To The Story
In Tikal, Guatemala, we were encouraged to have alone time to explore and commune with whatever our energies needed. I was walking around on my own and not a person in sight – most tourists come in the morning so the park after lunch it is practically empty, which was amazing. Mysterious feeling too because I was thinking wow I am walking though an ancient Mayan city! It was thrilling and because I was very connected to the love energy of this land (not the brutality). I was taking it all in…and then a truck full of men with machine guns pass me by. This is not unusual for this area so I wasn’t worried but when they stopped way up the road (and I use the word road loosely) I thought do I just keep going to where I know, which means I would have to pass the men with guns, or do I go off road which I was warmed to be careful of because getting lost is a real possibility. Clear choice, the road less traveled.

The path became very narrow and I heard bustling in the dense jungle I was walking through. I stopped, it stopped. I walked, it began to walk again. I stopped. It stopped. Jaguars are nocturnal so I wasn’t worried about them but there were many other exotic and possibly territorial animals. So I said out loud, hello I’m friendly! Silence from us both for a few minutes and then I heard the bustling going away from me, I guess he was just checking me out but now I wanted to see him. I did try! It was thrilling pushing back huge leaves and branches as I tried to find him. Unfortunately I never got to see my jungle friend.

A Ruin Found
When the path became too dense to follow anymore I didn’t want to get lost, which I felt I already was. I turned around and the path lead me into a different direction than I had come strangely, I couldn’t find the main road but I was loving my adventure and just went where energy guided me. I came upon a ruin with a very dark tunnel on the side of it. I wanted to go in and immediately went towards it and then I felt strongly I wasn’t supposed to go so I began to walk away and then I felt called to go in. Into the pitch-blackness of the tunnel I went. It didn’t even occur to me I could use my phone as a flashlight, crazy. The tunnel was narrow so I was brushing my hands against the walls, which were moist with moss, and walking very carefully. I could feel a change on the wall, it began to curve slightly and I saw a glimmer of light. I followed the turn and saw the exist about 20 feet ahead of me – it was beautiful and exciting – I felt like a real explorer☺

I walk in and immediately my heart jumped with joy and I gasped with delight. I looked around, sat around, did some energy moves and began to look for stones – I asked the land to give me a stone but I couldn’t find one that stood out to me so I figured it had nothing for me. The energy began to feel very intense as if it was saying time to go so I went. Some of this sounds very whoo whoo but I promise these energies were so palpable that they could not be dismissed.

The Loving Experience
Later that night we were having a sacred ceremony in a very special place they told us, an energy portal to the Pleiades constellation. When we arrived I was stunned it was the place I had found earlier. The Pleiades had called me to this place for some reason, asked me to go and now welcomed me back with all it’s love and power. The shaman (Tata) went in first blissing the “birth cannel” (the tunnel I had gone through earlier) and we then had to bow and kiss the earth humbly asking if we could enter. As I walked through again and reentered the ruin it felt different – the power had increased but it wasn’t intense, it was powerfully gentle.

I positioned myself in the middle of the grounds, right under the Pleiades constellation and the moon was lighting up the ruin, stunningly magical and mysterious. You could feel its life. I was lying on the earth looking up and feeling everything – I could feel the entirety of patchamama. I laid there on my journey staring up at the sky, at the stars and moon and I would turn my body slowly to stay aligned in the center of the portal and one of the times I moved my hand which was laying face up but somehow the earth seemed to be reaching up to give me a stone. It felt like an earth hand literally put it into my hands – what a gift, what an experience. All of the sudden this stone was in my hand and I knew it was a sacred gift from the portal. I put it on my heart center under my cloths and felt it helped deepen my connection with everything. It’s a powerful stone and I am thankful for it. I keep it with my special wakka stones / crystals next to my bed and I travel with them too. But this Pleiades portal stone still retains it’s full power – when I touch it I can feel the energy of the place running through me, feeding me, empowering me with love and earth and cosmic energies.

The earth was hugging me, I seriously felt it around me and the heavens were bathing me and I felt it showering through and in me that in itself is incredible. But, it was even more glorious when I felt true deep sold self-love light up inside me. Never have I felt love that deeply and it’s still with me – I transformed. I sat up and began to hug myself and what a feeling! I have never hugged myself that way before in the physical sense but also energetically. The land and the energy portal was wrapping me with so much love and radiance I felt connected to all the love in the world but mostly it was the love inside of me that opened wide.

I began to do the Waving Into The Chakras. This is inspired from Donna Eden’s Heaven Rushing In. I opened my arms wide, palms up and let them fill up with this magical power energy and I scooped it into each chakra – it was indescribably beautiful. And I can feel the difference in the foundation of my chakras and all my energy systems really. This energy integrated into every level of who I am physically and non-physically. It felt liberating, sacred and opening in everyway.

You Can Create This At Home
The energy of any land has it’s own unique energetic vibration and if you are a traveler you will know what I mean when I say some places just encourage your energy to transform into something deeply wonderful and lasting. That said where you live could be your radiant power source. It might be that already and if so you just have to tap into it and if not you might need to do some energy work to create it by using sage, crystals and set clear intentions all over your home and land.

You can also call for energy from a place you had an amazing spiritual experience – energy from the entire planet is ready to connect with you and be in service to you, just ask and you shall receive.

I have found it is rare to find any land that does not respond to love and gratitude. Everything is connected! Try it out – lie flat on any land near you and send it love, gratitude and tell it you are so grateful for its beauty and strength and see what happens! I have asked friends to do this in the past and they were amazed they could feel love being given to them.

Opening Your Heart

Mayan Shamanic Journeys: Part 2
Also see Part One, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five

The Set Up
On the second day of our trip – on the way to Tikal – we stopped at Iximche for our first fire ceremony. Our Tata and Nana were late plus another family was in the middle of their own fire ceremony on this sacred alter so we had a wait. The ceremony takes place on a typical round stone platform, about ½ a foot off the ground and roughly 5-6 feet in circumference – they all vary. A few feet away from that was a small pyramid alter ruin where candles were dipping – past offerings still adding to the magic of the place.

I found myself walking around this alter to the back where a tree was growing out of the rocks – I didn’t realize at the time that this tree was actually growing out of the alter and had actually become apart of the alter. How I didn’t notice that I have no clue. The heart of the tree, as I call it, had three different trunks meeting to create the perfect seat and there was also a hollow on the side that to me looked like the trees hands forming a large cup. I was up there over an hour and it was unbelievably comfortable, as if I was lying on moss. I was very comfortable physically and energetically.

The Lesson
I was mediating and it felt really beautiful. I was using my own techniques plus the latest one I learned from Phelgye at Do Kham. I was slightly self-conscious in the beginning because everyone could see me but if you can’t meditate out in the open on a spiritual journey with spiritual warriors where can you ☺! Then something changed. The trees energy seemed to wrap all around me as if to hug me and I felt myself sink into this blissful feeling. I noticed how strong and grounded I felt and I was very aware of this trees life – of its consciousness. You could not deny this tree was alive and this life being in the form of a tree began to speak to me. It was as if information was downloaded or translated by one of my energy systems – this may sound strange to some but I would encourage you to give it a try with a local tree of yours and see if anything happens. If you quiet your mind and sit in stillness for a while you might be very surprised at what you hear and / or feel.

For the purpose of writing this I will write it as a conversation, which it was but these non-verbal conversations are hard to describe. There I am deep within myself and I hear the tree say “Do you see how safe and protected you are”, “Yes” I replied with a soft happiness. The tree continues, “It’s safe for you to open your heart, I’ve got you” and I energetically opened my heart and smiled and felt the lovingness of just that action – opening. I sat soaking up this energy for a while and a tear or two was shed but very gently. Then the tree says, “You can feel this way all the time” Silence from me. “You are always this protected” the tree continued and I must have thrown a million questions at it, such as what do you mean, is it because I’m grounded, do I have to be connected to be protected, am I really safe etc. and the tree in a very gently powerful way said “It is safe for you to open your heart because we will never stop protecting you, we are connected to you always and you can call on this strength anytime”.

I sat with this energetic truth and was feeling what it felt like to have my heart completely open while feeling completely protected. New feeling. Life changing. I’m protected? My heart is safe no mater what? The trees point was made and it had nothing else to say, neither did I. It just kept feeding me this beautiful energy and I sat there taking it in.

What’s The Take Away?
When I was ready to come down I laid two crystals in the hollow of the tree as my offering of thanks to it. I learned on this trip the importance and power of offerings – this isn’t breaking news but the way it was presented was new and my perspective of its implications broadened greatly. I make offerings everyday now in various forms; even smiling at a stranger is an offering of kindness to the collective conscious and universe.

This was almost a month ago and I can still feel that trees connection and message. Thank you tree. I will honor this tree with trust and by keeping my heart open. I am protected and I can feel that. Keeping our hearts open can be a hard thing in today’s world. Finding an anchor, a place of strength for your heart to feel protected by can really be a life changer. When you feel safe and share your heart beautiful things happen – internally and externally.

The earth has amazing healing and supportive powers and we all have access to it. All we have to do is connect and ask. Earth, trees and many other elements are happy to give you helpful energy, or to take away unhelpful energy – it’s their nature. Pun intended:)

I do have a picture of myself in the tree and will have to post it on FB as I have not learned how to add pictures to posts – yet!

Om Ah Hum Breathing

I have had the great pleasure of speaking with the owner of Do Kham, Phelgye Kelden, for over 15 years. I would stop in to shop, or just stop in and he and I would begin speaking about energy, meditation and perceiving reality and it was always so interesting and his energy is transcendent.

The days before my trip to Guatemala in January Bowie had just passed and Phyelgyes shop is around the corner from the memorial so I stopped in. He looked at me and said what’s happening. Clearly I was not looking my best but he was seeing my energy that was stressed, sad, and fearful and so the conversation began…

He spoke of this reincarnate Buddhist named Migyur Rinpoche who spoke of being plagued by stress, at 12 – his story is worth reading! This boy said once realized he could not stop it he decided to embrace it, to take it in and when he did this it disappeared and he was no longer stressed out. I paraphrase obviously but the idea is clear – we usually need to embrace what is making us uncomfortable in order to let it go – to walk through it to get through it.

He knows I am a healer and asked if that was draining me? Nope I said that’s when I’m feeling my best, during and after – it’s when I’m doing nothing I feel unhappy and drained so he spoke of creating a bridge from the everyday me to the healer me. Interesting way to look at it and it resonated with me. Still working on that.

He gave me a basic meditation technique – that was actually taught to me differently in Costa Rica – and said it would help both stress (or anything negative) and me feeling happy. It’s called:

Om Ah Hum Breathing

1. You inhale purity by breathing in the color white as you say the word OM in your head.
2. Holding your breath you see the color red over your navel as you say the word AH in your head and this clears all negativity from your body.
3. You then see the color blue over your heart and say the word HUM in your head as you connect with compassion for yourself and the world and you deeply exhale with the intention of spreading that compassion around the world.

He actually demonstrated this and it seemed like he was holding his breathe forever, my breaths are shorter and that’s ok. He said he does it all the time, even when he’s working, “Nobody knows what’s going on in my head” and he said smiling.

I have been doing this since he showed me and I find it very comforting. Soothing and strengthening too but mostly comforting because I believe it is empowering my energy and that feels great! I also find it unbelievably interesting that I received a tutorial from him, in part about happiness, which was the thread for me during my Guatemala trip. There are no coincidences and I see it as a sign from the universe that I was ready to shift my heart into happiness and I am happy.

Hope this is helpful!

A Very Vegetarian Holiday Dinner

First and most importantly enjoy the holidays and being with the people you love! Be grateful, don’t sweat the small stuff and of course practice conscious cooking!

I cook free form and encourage you to do the same – cooking is creative, meditative and fun! Make every dish your own!

All quantities depend on how many you are cooking for but that said I always make more than needed because left overs are amazingly tasty and it’s nice to give your friends and family a little leftover goodie bag to go home with.

Foturkey It’s completely delicious!!! It comes with gravy and stuffing inside so your fine if that’s all the effort you want to put in but personally I make my own gravy and stuffing.

This is soy based so you might want to have some grilled tofu as another protein option. Here is a great recipe.

Alternative to Soy
Try getting a Quorn Turkey Roast, it is made from corn and is a very very tasty!

Gravy:
Here is a link to a recipe to make it from scratch but I personally use the vegitarian powder packets, about 2-3, and just add an entire box of vegetable broth, nutritional yeast, onion powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder. You can add scallions and parsley as well. Stir regularly and let it thicken if it thickens too much, or to freshen a left over batch, just add some vegetable broth.

Stuffing:
This is my most requested dish! When I cook this I purposely make more than needed so my friends get to leave with some leftovers and I put some in the freezer to enjoy later. Get any bread stuffing you like, I prefer the organic multi-grain pre seasoned with herbs but there is every kind under the sun these days, even gluten free. I spray some olive olive oil into a large pan and make the dish right in it and this makes it super easy to make, throw it in the oven and then straight onto the table if you like – but I do think putting it in a nice big bowl is nicer.
I use three bags of stuffing and add chopped up scallion x2, onion x2, watercress x2, spinach x3 bags, kale x1 and garlic x 3-5 cloves. Add salt and pepper x 1 teaspoon or to taste. Add two cans of organic split pea, cream of celery and cream of broccoli soup. Fake sausage can really add that something special, to me it’s not the same without it! I like Gimme Lean you can pre cook it and crumble it into main stuffing pan but sometimes if I cannot find that brand any veggie sausage brand is fine, and if you like spicy you can get them spicy version…yuuummmmy – which ever you use make sure it’s in small pieces. I mix it all together and cook at 450 degrees. I have to pull it out of the oven a few times to stir it and turn it over so that every bit of it gets a chance to get a bit crispy.

Sweet Potato Mash
Leave the skins on – tons of great nutrients in them! Chop into small pieces, boil, drain water, and put potatoes back in pot and mash. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste.

Woman’s health has more than one great recipe for this tasty and super healthy food.

Veggie Potato Bake:
Chop up potatoes – the petite small and colorful ones are fun! Lots of root vegetables like carrots, parsnips, turnips’, onion and garlic. Sprinkle olive oil liberally and add salt and pepper – to taste can vary for many people so go light to medium and let everyone add what they like once it’s done. That said remember you always need more salt and pepper than you think! Bake in the oven at 450 degrees until crispy. You will have to stir it a few times to make sure all of it is crispy on all sides and you may need to add a bit more olive oil when you stir it up.

Veggie Polenta
You can’t go wrong with this! Depending on how many you are serving you will have to gage how much you need but let’s say you have 6-10 people…
2-3 tubes of polenta – I like the garlic basil – you want to chop it up and it will become a mash once you begin to cook it.
Chop up all the veggies you love – I use 4-5 squash, 3 bags of spinach, 1 bag of kale, 1 onion, 1 scallion, 6 garlic cloves, a handful of parsley
Spice it up – I use nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, garlic, a bit of cayenne if your people like spice (if you are unsure it’s best to just have it on the table) and whatever else you love.

Get out a big pan or wok – that’s what I use, pour in a bit of olive oil, you do not need much! And throw it all in and begin to stir, stir, stir and as you do keep adding water and that will turn the polenta into a mash as you stir. It’s a constant repeat of add water, sir and repeat. Do this until you achieve the texture you want. I would say I add half a cup of water about 5-6 times while I am stirring it all up, sometimes more.

I actually make this for myself all the time and keep it in the freezer so I can have it whenever I like without having to do it all from scratch every time.

Broccoli Casserole:
I have had many versions of this and they are all great! This is how I do it. In a large pan I layer from the bottom up 4-6 cups of cooked brown rice, 4-6 bags of chopped broccoli with 2 cans / boxes of cream of celery soup mixed in (I sauté the broccoli in the cream of celery soup for just a few minutes before I put it on top of the rice so it’s a bit soft) and 4-6 bags of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown.

I also found this broccoli quinoa casserole recipe that looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it! The woman who wrote it did it for Easter but I’ve always eaten this during the end of year holidays – I pretty much think it’s amazing anytime of the year!

Garlic String Beans:
They are easy to over cook so I do a three-minute boil. Add just a bit of olive oil if you want but it’s not needed honestly. Light salt, pepper and very finely chopped garlic. Sprinkle some shaved pine nuts on top (or have on the side in case anyone is allergic to nuts) and room temperature is perfect for this dish!

Spinach pie:
Chopped spinach x 4-6 bags, eggs / egg whites x4, shredded mozzarella cheese x3 bags, chopped garlic x3 or 4 cloves, salt and pepper to taste. You can also add some parmesan cheese, about 1 cup and it adds a little something extra. Mix all ingredients very well! Butter or olive oil your pan very well and bake in the oven at 400 degrees until lightly brown on top.

Here is a tasty looking spinach and Gruyere quiche recipe. Personally I would loose the piecrust and just make it as above but it’s your meal, your choice.

Brussel sprouts:
Use at least three pounds but if more than 12 people go for 4-6 pounds. Cut into half’s, sprinkle with some olive oil and add salt, pepper and garlic powder and bake at 450 degrees until well done – I even like it when some are close to being burnt! In general crispy is a crowd favorite.

Vegetarian Times has some good options as well!

Here are some other great holiday meal ideas from Eating Well, enjoy!

When The Pain Body Awakens – Transforming Pain Through Presence!

This is such important information to help you lead a positve life – it will help you have an awareness of what might be standing in the way of acheiving you goals and/or happiness. Many of you may be familiar with this information but we all need reminders and this is a beautiful one!
Hope you enjoy this powerful inspiration.

“The pain-body awakens from its dormancy when it gets hungry, when it is time to replenish itself. Alternatively, it may get triggered by an event at any time.

The pain-body that is ready to feed can use the most insignificant event as a trigger, something somebody says or does, or even a thought. If you live alone or there is nobody around at the time, the pain-body will feed on your thoughts.

Suddenly, your thinking becomes deeply negative. You were most likely unaware that just prior to the influx of negative thinking a wave of emotion invaded your mind-as a dark and heavy mood, as anxiety or fiery anger. All thought is energy and the pain-body is now feeding on the energy of your thoughts. But it cannot feed on any thought.

You don’t need to be particularly sensitive to notice that a positive thought has a totally different feeling-tone than a negative one. It is the same energy, but it vibrates at a different frequency. A happy, positive thought is indigestible to the pain-body. It can only feed on negative thoughts because only those thoughts are compatible with its own energy field.

…The usual pattern of thought creating emotion is reversed in the case of the pain-body, at least initially. Emotion from the pain-body quickly gains control of your thinking, and once your mind has been taken over by the pain-body, your thinking becomes negative.

The voice in your head will be telling sad, anxious, or angry stories about yourself or your life, about other people, about past, future, or imaginary events. The voice will be blaming, accusing, complaining, imagining. And you are totally identified with whatever the voice says, believe all its distorted thoughts. At that point, the addiction to unhappiness has set in.

It is not so much that you cannot stop your train of negative thoughts, but that you don’t want to. This is because the pain-body at that time is living through you, pretending to be you. And to the pain-body, pain is pleasure. It eagerly devours every negative thought. In fact, the usual voice in your head has now become the voice of the pain-body. It has taken over the internal dialogue. A vicious circle becomes established between the pain-body and your thinking.

Every thought feeds the pain-body and in turn the pain-body generates more thoughts. At some point, after a few hours or even a few days, it has replenished itself and returns to its dormant stage, leaving behind a depleted organism and a body that is much more susceptible to illness. If that sounds to you like a psychic parasite, you are right. That’s exactly what it is.

The beginning of freedom from the pain-body lies first of all in the realization that you have a pain-body. Then, more important, in your ability to stay present
enough, alert enough, to notice the pain-body in yourself as a heavy influx of negative emotion when it becomes active. When it is recognized, it can no longer pretend to be you and live and renew itself through you.

It is your conscious Presence that breaks the identification with the pain-body. When you don’t identify with it, the pain-body can no longer control your thinking and so cannot renew itself anymore by feeding on your thoughts.

The pain-body in most cases does not dissolve immediately, but once you have severed the link between it and your thinking, the pain-body begins to lose energy. Your thinking ceases to be clouded by emotion; your present perceptions are no longer distorted by the past. The energy that was trapped in the pain-body then changes its vibrational frequency and is transmuted into Presence.”

Art Is A Therapy

Where Do You Start?

  1. With a pencil and paper (a regular pencil or colored – both are great).
  2. With a canvas, a brush and some paint (acrylic is best for beginers).
  3. Time to sit and let anything and everything pour onto the canvas or paper (no judgements on what comes out!). And note it does not need to be finished in one sitting – there have been times I’ve taken months to finish one or I will go back a repaint an old one – Tony and I both do this.
  4. Remember there are no rules! If there were art would be boring.
And That Is It!!!

Musings From Tony:

Painting is a great way to feed yourself color energy and to work through and/or discover emotional blockages. We all feel the impulse to create — if we could stop reminding ourselves of our limitations long enough and just do it. My mum would take me to galleries when I was quite young and something she said made me aware for the first time of what I wanted to do with my life. We were at a pop art show and I remember her concise commentary. She looked at me with resignation and said, ”Artists are allowed to do anything these days.” Well, that seemed like the job for me.

Painting in both our lives has led us to each stage in our personal evolution. Every time we find ourselves seemingly at a dead end in our development, painting has wakened us from our malaise. The act of painting has taught me to work through a process with faith. I will start a painting freely and with enthusiasm but half way through, I see that it has not turned out as I would have hoped. This is when I start to feel lost. But I work on with faith, allowing the harmonics of one color to suggest its neighbor and the flow of one shape to force the hand of another. The more I can silence my chattering mind and just allow the painting to unfold before me, the more the honesty of the work seems to come through. This whole process is an on going metaphor for all aspects of my life.

Painting is the realm of manifest emotion where we can bring our subconscious to the foreground and watch its workings. Like dancing and music, painting is a discipline that reinvents its self as soon as it has taken form. Breaking the rules is the rule. It is an endlessly fascinating way to tune in to the harmonics of the universe.
See some of Tony’s work.

I have to add that some of my favorite pieces from him are on the walls of his friends and not shown here unfortunately. Tony has been a showing artist since he was 18 so his complete body of work is very eclectic and here you are seeing just one “body” of work. Maybe he’ll post some of the old ones soon’ish – stay tuned.

Musings From Tina
Society has conditioned us to think that we must be trained or have a natural talent to partake in making art. Not so. As my dad says…just do it! It doesn’t matter how it looks, for me it’s about expelling pent up emotion. And it’s a very direct form of colortherapy.

I am a very emotional untrained painter but it wasn’t until I met Tony that I began to trust what I was doing and after a time I became very comfortable calling myself an artist, which I am and painting is one way I express that. The most important thing Tony taught me was that imperfection and the struggle to get an image down is style. I would beg him to teach me figurative tricks but he refused. After a while, I came to see his point – my messy etchings of a face became a style and I still use and love it today. So for all the people who swear they don’t have an artistic side, plunging in and making pictures, in whatever shape or form, is a great way to prove yourself wrong. As you buy your materials, remember, the most important thing on your list is your intention to let go of your preconceptions about art. Art is what you make it. Have you ever here of “Found Art”? It’s when an artist finds something random, usually on the street, and presents it as his or her art – perhaps a few tweaks but the point is art can be and is anything you deem it to be!

I’ve personally found that when I really let my subconscious take over, I seem to draw in a daydream and when my consciousness comes back into focus I usually find an emotional message, or other world, on the canvas. Although most of the time what I’ve made is an abstract indistinct shape, when I look at it I can emotionally feel what I’ve just downloaded and I usually end up feeling relief and/or joy because I released some energy. It isn’t always bad or negative. Sometimes and definintely in the last few years I seem to be painting from a place of radiance and it shows.

Either way, when we allow energy to be released we send a positive message to our energy system. Art is a celebration of spirit. Let yourself experience the joy of what it’s like to just feel present. It is in this state of presence that we truly create.

Let the drawing or painting take it’s own shape. Allow the awkwardness. Life is full of ups and downs, happiness and pain so not all expressions are going to be pleasing but if they are honest they are beautiful no matter what!

I have to get some good pictures of my paintings – will get on that and post a link soon’ish.

Creating Your Own Sacred Ritual

Rituals are powerful tools in our lives and when we make them our own we deepen the meaning. A ritual can be anything you make it, simple or complex, but it is a repetition of certain words, gestures and actions. It has religious origins from Paganism to Christianity. Many of my suggestions have been used since the dawn of time but I speak about them in terms of our current time space.

Creating Your Sacred Space
Energy will build and hold a space when it used time and time again for the same purpose. That is why I feel having an alter of some sort for meditation, or even reflective thought, is really important. I actually have two spots in my apartment where I meditate. And as soon as I sit in that area I can go deeper quickly because the energy is ready and has the vibration I want to go into.

An alter can be anything you hold sacred. For some that is nature for others it’s traditional / religious – it’s all perfect! I believe in many things – I take bits and pieces from all cultures and religions so my alter is very eclectic and I love it that way. I have symbols from Buddhism, Hinduism, Shamanism and representations from nature such as wood, crystals and objects that hold a sacred meaning to me, even a few pictures that represent a spiritual moment in time that I hold deeply in my heart. Most of what is on my alter has been there for many many years so it now “holds” the energy of deep and reflective thought, non thought and focused visualization.
Big or small your sacred space / alter will give you a beautiful space that is all yours! I have heard many people say it’s important to not let others touch things on your alter – that’s a personal decision but that said I think having people ask permission is valuable and honors the space.

Meditation
Meditation itself is a ritual but I like to add a beginning and ending. As a ritual I always do what I call The Three Gratitude’s before and after my meditation. I bow three times with my hands in the prayer position, once touching my forehead and I thank the heavens and all the powers that be, then in front of my heart and I thank all my selves (all aspects of who I am & my guides) and then palms facing down or even on the ground and I thank the earth. Sometimes just doing that on it’s own can be a great ritual!

Meditating under a tree is magical as well (that’s how the Buddha did it). If you have a tree you can befriend keep going to that one tree and whether you are conscious of it or not an energetic relationship will begin and strengthen over time. Trees are smart! Just read this and watch this. But in general when you sit up against a tree it grounds you deeply which increases a strong sense of self and life purpose.

Fire It Up! To Let Go & Receive
There are a few ways to do this. In your head as a visualization but I like the hands on version best to be honest – it feels more powerful but that’s a personal preference. It also depends on my time restraints and location. If I have little time or am in a public setting I go to the visualization but when I have the time I go hands on.

– The visualization – take some slow deep breaths in your nose and out your mouth and in your minds eye see a big bowl that has fire in its center. Begin to see what you want to get rid of and throw it in the fire for it to burn into the ether – it goes back to source where it is purified and recycled.

– Hands On – have two bowls, one for what you are getting rid of and the second for what you want to bring into your life. Make sure you do this is a space where the fire will not set your house on fire! Be mindful!!!! Take some paper and write down three things you want to get rid of and three things you want to bring into your life. I have found this to be very powerful when you do it with a friend or two.

Start with what you want to get rid of and read it out loud and then light it up and throw it in the bowl and sit and watch it burn. The way it burns can be informational as well – it’s not dissimilar to tea reading, just trust your intuition, divining how it burns is not the point here. Just watching it burn can be mesmerizing and deepens your focus on letting go. If you are with a friend(s) take turns doing the first part, each reading one of your three things, burning it and continue this cycle until all three things have been burnt in the bowl. Then move onto what you want to bring in using the same technique. Once done go outside and starting with the bowl of what you want to get rid of and say “I release this…” or whatever words work for you and toss the burnt paper out of the bowl and into the wind – everyone does the release first. Then do the same with what you want to bring into your life and again use what words work for you but I usually say “Everything I want will come into my life” and once this is done take a moment to say “So be it, so it is, for the highest good of all involved” – again whatever words work for you are just perfect – intention is everything.

Intention Candles / Light
These are fun, powerful and create beautiful ambient light at night. I’ve already written about this and you can read it though this intention candle link. I am pretty consistent doing these intention candles on every new and full moon – and especially on equinoxes and traditional holidays. Sometimes it’s elaborate and sometimes it’s not – to me as long as your intention is clear and true the universe hears you and honors you by you honoring it.

But I would add there are many other candle rituals that are beautiful, especially a rite of passage ritual and candle ceremonies on the equinoxes. The candles light is seen as a vehicle to bring you closer to spirit, as fire is an ethereal element, as is water. Usually candles are lit and paced to create a spiral (to honor cosmic sacred geometry) and each person walks through the spiral coming out on the other side as a new person or with a new “place” in life. For instance in Eden Energy Medicine the students walk through as a rite of passage to become certified practitioners and in the Rudolf Steiner world a child walks in silence through the path as they leave behind one grade and enter into a more adult grade.

Winter equinox has an especially beautiful ritual of everyone making their own lanterns and they place a candle in an apple, inside the lantern, and the spiral path has already been created and people walk silently from the inside outward as an inwardly gesture of winter. This also represent the end of the darkness as they enter the light coming back – this is to honor the earths seasonal rhythms. Each school or group of people will do this differently but they are all beautiful!

The Healing Bath
This to me has always been a sacred ritual, maybe my first because as a child I would fill the bath and then also leave the shower on to create my own magical secret water world. Soaking tubs are the best but any tub will do. Fill it with bubbles, aromatherapy and even colortherapy if you like! Add Epson and Himalayan salts, and Baking Soda and you have a healing bath. Light a candle or buy an ambient light that can change colors and you can create a sacred space. Water is healing and cleansing to the soul, as well as the body. This healing bath is enough in itself but if you want to add some extra healing / self-care you can hold your neurovasculars and / or do a chakra clearing and balancing – both are easy and nourishing to do in your healing bath.

Get In A River
If you have access to a stream / river that is not too deep you can create a serious cleansing ritual. I first did this with John Perkins in the Ecuadorian rainforest. We all shed our cloths and jumped in the river and laid down and let the water run over us and as we did this we affirmed it was washing away all our fear and anything unwanted in our lives – it was amazing, powerful and very energetically cleansing! Obviously this is seasonal for many people and many will want privacy but if you can do it, it’s very powerful and I do believe you can get the same benefits with a bathing suit on, of course, but honestly there is something sacred about being naked in the water – it’s primal and our energy seems to automatically know what it’s supposed to do – let go and be free!

Music and Dance
I put these together because for me and most of the people I know it goes hand in hand. Put on your “energy” music – whatever gets your energies buzzing and dance and sing away. Think about it – there are some songs that bring you back to a special and happy time in your life and you can access that anytime by listening to the song, and moving and grooving to it is the cherry on top – get funky, free and free form. That said the two are powerful rituals on their own as well.

Exercise
Many people use this as their ritual, especially yoga and dance. I grew up jogging so for me I can easily get into the no thought zone – and I’m getting crossovers as well (the runners high) so it’s an Eden Energy Medicine Therapy as well.

Cooking
It’s an art and when you cook consciously by using your positive thoughts to infuse into the food you can really get in the zone and if you cook for your family it can be you time or bonding time – both are great.

Other Random Ideas

– Dance under a full moon – with or without clothing. As a child of the seventies nudity was encouraged not shamed so I say lets put a bit of 70’s energy back into our 21st century lives. It’s very freeing!

– Sit in a talking stick circle where the only person who speaks is holding the stick and then it is passed on either by someone raising their hand to respond or just in a continuous circle. It creates a safe place for people to know they can speak at their own pace without interruption. This is usually done with a specific topic or intention.

– Any holiday can and is a ritual.

– Saging your home is a great cleansing ritual.

– Sitting down with your family for dinner is a beautiful bonding ritual that our modern society has seemingly pushed aside – bring it back into your home!

– Even sports games can be a ritual, albeit a noisy one but still a bonding can and usually does occur.

The point of any ritual is to honor you, all sentient beings, the world and special events. The events, or rituals, are meant to bring you closer to your inner being, your inner light. They are meant to create a feeling of oneness with spirit and that can take many many forms.

When creating your own ritual remember intention is everything!!!
Enjoy!

The Electrical Heart Hook-Up

The Electrics in Eden Energy Medicine is smart energy that connects with all the other systems in your body and it knows where healing is needed and goes directly there. There are two main electrical points on the back of the head – the two mounds at the base of the skull and these points can be held for you by a practioner in a formal session.

The Heart Electrical Kook-Up as I was taught – and I do caveat this with knowing there are always slight variations to many EEM modalities as they evolve but this in no way lessons the therapeutic affect of how I learnt this amazing technique. This is considered an electrical “quickie” but I have personally found it to last just as long as the “main modality” can – by using the main electrics on the back of the head.

You can do this “electrical quickie” to a loved one but I will be explaining this as a self-care exercise. You will essentially be hooking up your heart electrical system with your body in various ways. For detailed hand positions and a deeper explanation of the electrics check out the Eden Energy Medicine link. This is a great resource and I highly suggest reading it! I practice a more free form version.

1st – Find the main heart electrical point – this is on the left side of your chest. Straight up from the nipple and about 1 inch down from your shoulder – this will vary from person to person as all our bodies are different but using either a three finger notch (thumb, pointer and middle) feel around that area slowly and gently. You will feel a subtle pull and this is where your left hand / fingers hook into the heart electrical point.

2nd – Place your left hand lightly on the inside and just above your right pelvic hipbone.

This is your 1st position and you hold it until you feel heat begin to generate on both points and this indicates the electrical energy healing has begun.

After a time, again this is different for everyone and for you at different times, you will feel the heat in your right hand begin to lesson and now you can move your right hand to wherever your body needs healing – there is a step by step protocol for where to place the right hand but I do it free form and for this forum it simplifies it. During your self-care session it is very important you do not move the left finger notch from the heart electrical point – you can slightly adjust it if you feel you are not in the exact spot of course but do not let go. You will probably begin to literally feel like your fingers are electrically hooked in and this is great!

So now I usually move my right hand to my adrenals, one inch up and out from belly button and leave it there and let it heat up / hook up and then move on – I always place my right hand over my spleen on the left side of my body and I can feel it soaking up the healing heart energy – it’s amazing!

Trust your intuition and that your right hand will be drawn to where it need to be. You are directing this healing energy where to go but do not forget that this smart energy system will still spread and go where it is needed in a place where you cannot hold both points no worries the electrical energy will automatically go there and take care of you.

The electrical system can be very sensitive so when you feel you are wrapping up your self-care session tell your body “ok I am going to let go and disconnect in three or five breadths and you are save and loved”, use whatever words work for you but let your energy know that you are lovingly and gratefully about to let go.

As you let the three-finger notch release let your fingers now make figure-8’s over the heart electrical point so it feels loved and nourished.

I do this in bed all the time, sometimes when I watch TV and an hour can pass and all of the sudden I feel like wow what a great healing session I just gave myself and my body and energy feels loved, protected and taken care of – you deserve this and it’s so simple!

Any questions just email me. – Enjoy!

Give Good Energy

The law of attraction tells us that energy, is attracted to like energy so if you are a loving person you will receive love back. With this in mind, it is important that you take responsibility for your thoughts and emotions and use them for good. Sounds a bit superhero-ish but it’s true.

The more positive energy you give the more you will get. So send someone a positive intention, affirmation, visualization, a color or any positive thought. Do this not only for friends and family but for strangers, too. If you’re passing someone and you get the sense they could use a positive energy boost, send them one. I live in NYC and do it all the time when I’m walking around. It feels good. One caveat, always send healing energy with the intention that you are not forcing it, that you are just making it available for them if they choose to accept it. As we begin to have a greater awareness of our energy, and others, I think being mindful of some basic energy ethics is a good idea.

When you decide to send healing / positive energy and are not sure how or what to send, just think of love and offer that. Generating love helps you, everyone and everything…love has the power to heal on every level. Great for long distance healing.

Clearing and Balancing Your Chakras

Strengthen and Balance Your Chakra Benefits:

  • Releases emotional toxins
  • Creates emotional balance
  • Helps you resolve the “stories” that create obstacles in your life
  • Increases overall health and happiness
  • Strengthens your entire energy field

This is really a fantastic exercise to do for yourself or for another. If you want to learn more about the chakras go for it but it’s not necessary for this exercise to be effective. We also have a video you can watch or a book you can read.

The Basic How To:
Lying face up, you are going to begin clearing the chakra with a counterclockwise motion, clearing, and then with the right hand in a clockwise motion, balancing. You are the clock and your head is twelve o’clock. Counterclockwise circles will mean your left hand starts moving left. Clockwise circles mean your right hand starts moving right.

A quickie you will make 3-4 circles counterclockwise with left hand and then using your right hand 3-4 circles clockwise. This takes only a minute to do and is easy incorporate into your daily energy tune-up.

If you want deeper results spend at least three minutes clearing and three minutes balancing. A deeper session is about 35-40 minutes, or more! You really need to use your intuition because sometimes you need to work on a chakra for 15 minutes or more – follow the energy, trust your intuition and you can’t go wrong – a long session is well worth it!!!!!

Helpful Hints:
These are not a rules just guidelines so trust your instincts. You may feel the need to spend more time over one chakra, maybe less on another. You might feel you need to shake the energy off your hands while you are doing this – just shake it off to the side, not on yourself or your partner. Hold your hands anywhere between 3 – 6 inches above the body. You want to try and make your circles at a slow calm pace and remember to breathe deeply and slowly.

Taking all this into consideration begin to clear and balance your chakras:

– The 1st or base chakra (over your pelvic area)
– The 2nd or sacral chakra (just under your belly button)
– The 3rd or solar plexus (bottom center of the ribcage)
– The 4th or heart (over the heart and breast)
– The 5th or throat chakra (over the throat)
– The 6th or third eye (between your eyebrows)
– The 7th or crown (top of the head). *** The crown chakra is the only tricky one because, if you’re a woman, you continue as you did with all the other chakras, counterclockwise and then clockwise, but if you are a man doing this to himself or if you’re doing this for a man you do the clockwise motion first and then counterclockwise.

Here is a more detailed version of how to clear and balance.

First thing to do if you are working on another is to ground and protect yourself. You can find more information about this in the blog / news: Caring For The Practitioner.

It’s best to do this lying down. If you are doing this for someone else you might want to have her lie on her stomach first. Place one hand on the base of her spine and the other at the top and gently rock her back and forth. It’s very soothing. Set the intention that you and the person you are working on will get what they need from this treatment, for the highest good of all involved.

Lying face up, take your left hand and place it a few inches above the 1st or base chakra (over the pelvic area) and move it in a counterclockwise circle – towards the right side of the body. Your left hand and counterclockwise movement draws energy out. Do this for about three minutes – this is a guideline, use your instincts for how long is needed. Shake the left hand off to the side as if shaking off any energy it’s collected and be conscious of where you shake if off. You don’t want to shake it onto yourself or another person, just into empty space.

Then move your right hand in clockwise circles, towards the left side of body, in the same place for the same amount of time and shake off energy when you’re done. The clockwise motion rebalances the energy of the chakras. Take lots of deep breaths and have the intention that you are clearing when you are going counterclockwise and the intention of balance when moving clockwise. Generally, your left hand receives energy and the right gives it.

OK, so you’ve done the 1st or base. Now move up to the 2nd or sacral chakra (just under your belly button) and do the same, then the solar plexus (bottom center of the ribcage), then the 4th or heart chakra (over the heart and breast area). The heart is a great place to incorporate figure-8s, especially for women. Next move to the 5th or throat chakra (over the throat area). Remember the throat chakra has seven chambers that extend past the actual throat area, so make sure you cover the area surrounding the throat as well. Next is the 6th or third eye (between your eyebrows) and then the 7th or crown (top of the head). The crown chakra is the only tricky one because, if you’re a woman, you continue as you did with all the other chakras, counterclockwise and then clockwise, but if you are a man doing this to himself or if you’re doing this for a man you make the clockwise motion first and then counterclockwise.

It’s a great idea to weave the chakras together after this with figure-8 motions. Begin at the base and make flowing figure-8 motions up the center of the body and off the head.

End by making figure-8 motions all around your or the persons body – above them, on the side and use your intuition as to wear your hands a drawn – as Donna Eden says “Follow the energy”.

You can make this a long session or a quickie, it’s up to you. The chakras have many layers so you may feel your hand energetically “drop” and that’s ok, it means you’ve moved to a deeper level. You may receive information in the form of a “knowing” – colors, images, smells, or maybe nothing. It’s all perfect, just go with it. If you are doing this for another, you and the other person will experience the things I just mentioned. A common thing that happens is seeing colors. If you’re working with someone it’s ok to have a dialog about what you’re feeling, but don’t have a full-on conversation because you want to stay tuned into the process.

I have done quick sessions on myself in the bath that have taken 5-10 minutes, other times 40 minutes, and the same goes for doing it for another. Let your intuition guide you. Also, after you have done the basic counterclockwise/clockwise movements, you may feel drawn to make other movements such as, figure-8s or upward circular motions as if you were pulling something out of the persons body. Just go with what feels right to you.

If you encounter an area or chakra level that is very heavy / dark / stuck and it just won’t loosen or release you might want to try Pain Pumping For The Chakras. It’s been very useful for me!

Our Chakra Oils are made with a very high vibration specifically celebrated for its correlated chakra. I place them directly on my chakra after every shower and use them as fragrant energy touch ups throughout the day. They are really effective and amazing – you can learn more about them in our product section.

Using the Chakra Oils as a Tune-Up:

Use and apply your Chakra Oils as a ritual. They are a great pressure point fragrance for anywhere but if you apply them directly onto each chakra you really help support your energy system.

This is also a great way to affirm that all your chakras are connecting which encourages a healthy flow between them that in turn adds to your overall health and happiness.

You just apply a drop onto each chakra…

The chakra oils are:
Strength – 1st or base
Sexuality – 2nd or sacral
Self-esteem – 3rd or solar plexus
Love – 4th or heart
Communication – 5th or throat
Intuition – 6th or third eye
Openness – 7th or crown

The Biology of Belief

The post title is a great book by Bruce Lipton exploring how our thoughts and fundamental beliefs help to create our realities. Throughout time we have discussed the power and potential of “energy” and we are still getting to know the art and nature of this powerful force that is both elusive and crystal clear all at the same time.

Energy and its interconnectedness to us, and everything is extraordinary. To stop and think about the vastness of that concept is where the magic happens. When we are present within “everything” we can choose anything. We just have to believe. I admit I need reminding at times but that’s life and that’s ok.

Some ways to activate the power of your beliefs:

1. Be Grateful. Gratitude is a powerful energy. Keep a gratitude journal or less formally write down one thing a day you are grateful for on a scrape of paper and begin a gratitude wall in your home. Get artistic and have fun with it. Don’t judge and think oh this is too small to write down, such as “I am grateful I got the mail today” – we’ve all had those days. Just laugh at yourself and at know how loveable you are because you are.

2. Live in love. Love can change everything if you allow it to live in and around you. This one can be tricky – whether subconscious or not, we can be our own worst enemy. We think we don’t deserve love, or we create roadblocks for ourselves and that can trigger triple warmer to “freeze” us in those unhelpful emotions. Push through and fake it until you make it. An Eden technique I find very helpful is to put your hands over the center of your chest and “rake” your fingers outward and upward as if you were opening your chest / heart center.

If it’s all about our thoughts affirmations are a powerful tool. Tony and I have been saying a variation of this for over 15 years and we always feel better after, “I am an open channel to the love and light of the universe…(take a breadth)…I am love” and repeat as necessary. What you think you create – so think about and dream about love. Tell yourself everyday that you love yourself and give yourself a hug.

3. Choose happiness. No matter what is going on in your life (almost) you have a choice about how to feel. When I am out of balance I can make things into a bigger deal because I am “looping” a story in my head. Many things can distract us from happiness but recently if these old habits come up I mentally dissolve then through visualization or I just make a strong affirmation that I do not accept the negative emotion I might be feeling and I affirm to myself that happiness really is a choice and that is what I choose. So be it.

A few things to be aware of:

We are really living in a time of accelerated energy and that means we are all feeling things on a deeper level and it is seemingly one thing after another but we can change the story to focus on great things happening one thing after another – even if in the beginning its only in our dreams. Dreams are a powerful tool to put us in vibration with what we are wanting, so dream on.

The collective unconscious greatly affect us – all this energy floating around waiting to be pulled towards energy that is like itself, whether it be positive or negative – its a precarious place if you are not in a great mind set – the law of attraction is powerful. The fantastic thing is you are powerful and in control of you. You can choose what you allow into your energy field. You can choose how you feel through your thought patterns.

The Bottom Line:

You are brave, strong and loved. Deep happiness is yours for the taking!
YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE.

Gratitude Meditations

In the present is when we truly feel deep gratitude and that gratitude spreads like a warm blanket over everyone and everything. I am grateful for gratitude and love this quote…

“The real miracle is not to walk on water.
It is to walk on earth, in the present moment.
When we experience this, we will be healed and transformed.
It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice.”
Thich Nhat Hanh

These are a few beautiful meditations that bring a deep sense of happiness and well-being…. its nice to do this in a group and have someone read it to you as you breathe in and out slowly and deeply. Reading it to yourself is just as good. If I am alone I read over it and then close my eyes and repeat the words – as long as the intention is there the exact words do not matter.

1. Deep Gratitude. (My favorite one)

Metta Meditation
Cultivating loving kindness for ourselves, we hold in heart and mind this
Intention:

May I be filled with loving-kindness, may I be held in loving-kindness.
May I accept myself just as I am.
May I experience the innate joy of being alive.
May my heart and mind awaken; may I be free.

Now holding in our mind’s eye, someone we have an unconditional positive
Regard for, someone for whom we find it very easy to feel unconditional
Love– a close friend, grandmother, anyone at all, we share our intention:

May you be filled with loving kindness,
May you be held in loving-kindness.
May you accept yourself just as you are.
May you experience the innate joy of being alive.
May your heart and mind awaken; may you be free.

Now envisioning all the people around you, the people of our communities
People in this country, and people in other countries:

May all beings be filled with loving-kindness.
May all beings have deep and lasting peace.
May all beings experience the innate joy of being alive.
May all beings awaken; may they all be free.

-Adapted from Tara Brach, Radical Acceptance

2. Gratitude For All Beings

Metta Sutra
May all beings be happy
May all beings be joyous and live in safety
All living beings whether weak or strong
In high or middle or low realms of existence
Small or great near or far born or to be born
May all beings be happy
Let no one deceive another nor despise any being in any state
Let none by anger or hatred wish harm to another
Even as a mother at the risk of her own life
Watches over and protects her only child
So with a boundless mind should one cherish all living beings
Suffusing love over the entire world
Above below and behind without limit
So let one cultivate an infinite good will towards the entire world
Standing walking sitting or lying down
May one maintain this practice
This is to attain the blessed state in this very life.

(Soto Zen translation)

3. Gratitude For All Those Who Have Touched Our Lives

Meditation on Benefactors
Let’s take a moment to reflect on all the benefactors which have touched our lives, spiritual teachers, mentors, and perhaps someone who we met randomly, who simply wished us well- allowing ourselves to take in their wishes for our wellbeing into our whole body, opening to this kindness through our entire heart/mind.

Envisioning their faces – and recall them as sending the wish for your deepest happiness, wellbeing and joy. Join them in their wishes for your wellbeing – let us set these intentions in our heart and mind….Envisioning this wish as radiant light, a healing blessing which bathes your entire body, all the way through to your fingers and toes. Trusting this wish of love more than the limitations of our thoughts, receive it into every cell of your body.

Bathe in this; Rest in this; Heal in this.

Breaking Habits

I have been observing my negative habit patterns, a continuous experiment of how easily I into fall into the negative or easier way of doing things. Maybe I should say what feels more comfortable.

I have noticed when I end up in an unhealthy habit pattern I feel like have been temporarily blinded. Like a switch just turns off in my head and I can’t see this isn’t what I want or how I want to be. I usually “come to” pretty quickly but I’m then in it. It might be difficult to resist the habit but it’s for sure harder to get out of once you are in it. I usually have the added bonus of feeling badly about it and that I try to shrug off immediately. Guilt is pointless, I just have to pick myself up and know that within seconds it can all change.

These repetitive thoughts, actions and emotions create deep energetic patterns. Like roads within us that we default to instead of finding a different route. Of course there are many positive habit patterns, what we strive to have more of in our lives. The negative ones can get you down but that doesn’t have to turn into its own story.

It can be simple to begin changing a pattern you don’t like. If you are in a bad place because of a habit do something impulsive and positive. For me I find silliness works, like privately having a quick dance with myself – some sort of release that shakes me up taking me out of my current state of mind. Sometimes words can be helpful. In a recent situation that could have been stressful I repeated to myself “happy place” referring to a happy place I created in my head. A place to mentally go so that I’m not drawn into the habit of a situation I don’t want to be apart of.

Other Tools to Help Break a Pattern:

  1. Intention Is Everything. I keep an intention stone / crystal in my pocket and hold it when I feel myself being drawn into an unwanted pattern. Our Chakra Stones are perfect for intention stones and you can find out how to program them in the Crystal self-care section.
  2. Work It Out. If thoughts and stones don’t work for you try the physical. Stretch and/or walk it out. Habits can get stuck in our muscles, not just physically but on an emotional level too, so movement can quickly offer your energy an opportunity to break out of a pattern. Our energy will always take any opportunity to feel better – our bodies are extremely intelligent, thank goodness.
  3. Drink Water. Simple but helpful in many ways. Water helps the flow of energy in our bodies and when we have a clear flow of energy its easier to have a wider perspective and to tap into that radiant flow and allow healthier patterns to take root. We’re watering the seeds of our intentions.
  4. Breathe. Taking a moment to breathe gives you a timeout of sorts allowing you to step back from yourself for a moment and in that moment a space of stillness is created. In that space you can invite a positive pattern in. We’ve got some good breathing exercises on our sister site, Cristina’s Energy Center.

Just remember nothing is permanent and everything can change in a moment.

Conscious Cooking

I should start with the Eden Energy Medicine motto – Test before you Ingest, you can watch Tony and I demonstrating this on our sister site. You want to try energy test anything you ingest to make sure your body wants it at that time, but that aside for now here are some tools we both have used for a long time to increase the healthy energy of anything we eat.

Caring For The Practitioner

Practice Good Energy

It has now become essential to know how to maintain healthy energy in yourself and to protect yourself against the energetically cluttered world we live in. All this information will be helpful whether you are a practioner, of any sort or not, because these exercises will help anyone maintain health and balance.

Energetic hygiene is incredibly crucial to everyone working with people, especially if you are practicing any hands on treatments. Learning to ground, hook and protect yourself will fundamentally change your experience and the people you work with. I hope to share with you how to optimize your energy allowing for a deeper and more fulfilling healing session for your client and for you.

I am a complementary care practioner myself and have a deep understanding of the practioner / client relationship through my own clients, the Eden Energy Medicine Community and because at Tony&Tina I have spent countless hours with make-up artists and estheticians and I know how draining and challenging the work can be.

This information is great if you practice some form of healing modality and especially helpful if you are new to this field and work with clients in any hands on experience. Most of this is based on Eden Energy Medicine which is simple, effective and easy to incorporate into any traditional spa service. My intent is to give you tools to bring a deeper, healthier, experience to your clients and a more rewarding experience for yourself.

The below suggestions are all written out in detail (if they are not yet they will be as this post will be evolving as time goes on) at the end making this a quick reference if you are already versed in these techniques. Plus you can find video and audio of many of these on our sister site – Cristinas Energy Center.

Before your client:

  1. Increase energy – the three thumps
  2. Increase intuition – forehead soothing
  3. Create a healing space (holding space and intention, aromatherapy and cross-over’s)
  4. Ground yourself
  5. Hook up
  6. Protect yourself (Celtic weave, weaving the outer aura, trace governing and central, and zip-up)
  7. Make sure your flow of energy is complete (Celtic weave, connecting heaven and earth)
  8. Project happy balanced energy (Wayne cook and intent)
  9. Hold your client in love

Watch videos here for most of the above suggestions with this link. If you have any questions for anything that has been left out email us. All the information in our posts will constantly be evolving.

After your client:

  1. Maintain energy hygiene between clients (expelling the venom, auric fluff, Celtic weave and zip-up)
  2. Disconnecting your energies after a session / treatment
  3. Pull the energy off your hands
  4. Wash your hands from the elbow down
  5. Stretching is a great way to release energy – do any stretch you feel drawn to and then connect heaven and earth
  6. If you feel like you are having a hard time letting go of energy thump your spleen lymphatic and/or flush spleen

In Your Workspace:

  1. Feng Shui your space – there are some very simple things you can do for your space such as inviting in good chi and abundance.
  2. Holding space – this sets an energetic intention for your environment.
  3. Aromatherapy – smell is the most powerful and effective sense we have. Smell is registered in the amygdala, we feel a smell before we think about it. Our sense of smell is deeply tied to our emotional state of mind casting aromatherapy as a staring role in any healing session. You want to spend the extra few dollars and have real essential oils in every treatment room. Use either a candle or a diffuser. Lavender and bergamot are especially relaxing and lift the spirits. You may want to offer your client a choice.
  4. Audiotherapy – the right music can transform your space and every session. There are specific CD’s that evoke healing and meditative states. See our CD’s. Note – when giving a facial and having to move around the room to prepare treatments be very aware of yourself. Do not make any loud abrupt sounds. Setting a soft environment keeps the client relaxed and happy.
  5. Lighting. Bad lighting can ruin a session. Soft low lighting sets the mood and invites relaxation.

Helpful hints

  1. Your clothes absorb energy so change them when you can
  2. Clear and cleanse your environment – sage your environment, use rose spray to cleanse environment, spin a pendulum counter clockwise / clockwise, singing bowl and visualization
  3. Lay flat on the ground letting the energy absorb into the earth – if you can’t get outside lay on a natural fiber or just use your intention. Let the roots of your feet sink deep into the earth to find a solid stone or tree to wrap around and allow earths strength to flow up into you.
  4. Tapping fresh cold water on the back of your neck, feet and top of head is a good quick refresher, mentally and energetically
  5. Always shower at the end of the day to really sweep all the energy off you that you collected during the day

Some helpful visualizations

Cleanse and Ground
This is a two-part visualization and you can make it as short or as long as you want. Read through it first and then get comfortable and take a few deep slow breadths.

Imagine you are comfortably lying in a shallow river and the water is rushing around your body. Feel yourself letting go of fear, grief and any obstacle that you want to get rid of. Feel the river washing it all away. It’s washing away everything you do not need or want in your life. Whether it is emotions, situations or an unhealthy connection to someone let the river take it and feel it flowing away. Feel the release in your body, the lightness you feel from being letting go and being cleansed. Sit with this as long as you need to.

Now that you have let go and released its time to renew and refill the space you have just created. Step away from the river and walk into the forest. In your minds eye find the perfect place to lie on the ground. Imagine you are a seed and plant yourself into the earth. Feel yourself rooting and grounding. See yourself sprouting from a seed into a sprout and you slowly begin to grow into a tree. Your roots grow deeper and your trunk begins to grow strong and grow branches and leaves. You are growing tall and feel the sun feeding you and the earth strengthening you. Stretch out your branches and take in from the sun, from the heavens what you want. Take in love, strength, hope and everything positive you can imagine. Really let yourself feel power you have – feel it in your mind, body and spirit. Breathe it in and sit in this energy for as long as you like. End by getting up and stretching your physical body and give yourself a big hug.

Protection
Close your eyes, take a deep breath and turn your attention inward. In your mind’s eye see the person, situation or aspect of yourself that is causing you distress…and now see beautiful shimmering white light showering down around and through this object of distress. This light is clearing away all negativity…you can see shimmering light gently flowing through and clearing away any darkness, effortlessly creating harmony and love. You have let go of all unnecessary emotions…you feel positive and cleansed…you have created a positive change within yourself. Breathe that in.

Gratitude
Close your eyes, take a deep breath and turn your attention inward. See your life, the people who have touched it, good or bad, and be grateful, see their faces…your family, friends, the people you work with – and send them thanks. See our planet and send it love and gratitude. Connect with the truth that we are all one…people, animals, earth, the universe…that everything is connected and you honor that…you are sending everyone and everything deep love and gratitude…and that is what is being sent right back to you. Breathe that in.

Pink Bubble

This great visualization technique created by Shakti Gawain is unbelievably powerful and is responsible for the success and creation of many things for many people. This effective visualization technique will help you manifest whatever you want. It’s best to be in nature but you can do this anywhere, on your own or with friends – just remember to believe.

  • Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
  • Visualize a big pink bubble floating just above your head.
  • Put what you want into the bubble.
  • See it, feel it and know it is true.
  • Say this or something better and release it.
  • See the bubble floating up into the sky; you’ve placed your order with the universe and so it is.

Remember not to get caught up in “am I doing this right” … a lot of people have a problem with visualizing colors or creating mental images and that’s fine. Just do it in words or intentions and it works just as well. It’s really the intention that is essential. A common question is how many things can be put into the bubble and the answer is, go for it. There is no limit, so put in as much as you like. The important part is to release it. Let it float away into the cosmos. Really let it go. How can something manifest itself if you are holding onto it?

If you think you’ve done a few bubbles on the same subject with no results, step back and make sure you’re not holding onto it. Or, maybe some emotional clearance has to happen. Sometimes our own emotional blockages prevent us from getting what we want.

How To Use A Pendulum

Using pendulums
A pendulum is typically a pointed crystal that hangs on a chain from which it sways in various directions depending on the purpose it is being used for.

This can be a forced movement, lets say if you needed a clockwise/counterclockwise movement for the purpose of clearing chakras. It could also move through the use of subtle energy to help you find answers to your questions. With practice the use of a pendulum will become second nature and an invaluable energy tool. See the shop, pendulums.

Finding your yes and no
If you have questions about anything such as relationships or what to order from a menu you can rely on your pendulum to help guide your actions. Hold the pendulum in one hand so that it hangs at least four inches from your hand. Keeping it still, ask it “what is my yes?” this can be done in your head or out loud. I usually say it once out load and then keep your intent on the question. The pendulum will begin to swing back and forth, side-to-side, clockwise or counter-clockwise – each pendulum has its own energy and that energy interacts with yours, so the movements may vary. Once you get a distinct “yes” movement you find your “no” by repeating the process and asking, “what is my no?”

Clearing and balancing
You can use the pendulum to clear and balance your environment or any part of your body (especially over the chakras). You clear first by moving the pendulum counter-clockwise and then balance by spinning it clockwise. You can also spin any, but specifically the cut glass round ones, in from to your chakras and at the beginning and end of your meridians. Most of the time the pendulum will know what direction is needed and for how long. Take deep breaths and let the process happen.

General clearing
You can spin the pendulum back and forth under your feet, around your toes, fingers and hands, under your arms, under your eyes, over your third eye, at the temples, at the base of the spine and over the pubic bone. These are the main meridian end points and by spinning the crystal over them, you clear any blockages and make sure your energy freely flows in and out.

Energy Testing

Energy Testing Your Food primarily for testing anything you ingest into your body.

Please see a certified practioner to test vitamins and/or medications. Always consult your doctor when making any changes that will affect any illness you may have.

With a Partner: The Spleen Test
Have your partner stand with either arm at his or her side, fingers should
be pointing straight down, thumbs should touch the thigh. Gently place
one of your hands on the shoulder of the arm being tested (very gently
so it doesn’t interfere with the test) and place your other hand just above
your partner’s wrist and ask them to meet your resistance as you gently
pull their arm outward and toward you. See what the tension is like. Let
this amount of tension be your standard. Then have them hold the food
you want to test in the unextended hand. Holding the food being tested
over the stomach area is important when testing foods and/or medication. Now with one of your hands gently on the shoulder of the arm being tested and the other just above the inner wrist, ask them to resist and see what happens. If the arm is weaker than the standard – easier to pull away from the body – it means the substance isn’t good. It’s important to remember that our bodies are constantly changing, so something that is bad for you today may be ok tomorrow and that’s why knowing how to energy test is so important. You want to keep a constant and open dialog with your body.

Self-testing: Be a Human Pendulum
Hold the food you want to test in one hand, and place your other hand over it. Rest your hands over the solar plexus. Your elbows should be held against your sides, as if they were hugging your sides. Feet together, you are taking the pendulum pose. Close your eyes, take a deep inhale and empty your mind. Hold your inhale for a few seconds and on the exhale see if you naturally fall forward or back. Forward good, back bad. Or, do a test first by asking yourself, “what is my yes?” and “what is my no?” and see which way you fall for each. We are all different, so see what is right for you.

The Knee Test / Small IntestineTest
Try this if you’re out to dinner and want to know what is good for you to eat. Hold your hand over your food or tune into your body and hold your left finger over the item on the menu you want. Then hold your right leg
6 to 12 inches off the floor, slightly forward so you can see your toes if looking down. push down on the top of your thigh. Remember this isn’t about strength and making your leg go down, you’re testing to see the level of tension cre-ated. If you’re new to this, do the resistance test first without holding your hand or finger over the menu item you are testing
so that you have a standard to compare it to. I do it all the time and it really works. I’ll put my finger over, let’s say, fried mozzarella sticks and my knee will easily push down and then I’ll hold my finger over another menu option like a garden salad and my knee will hold strong. I often let my body guide what I order in restaurants and it’s discreet, nobody will know what you are doing.page21image16261456page21image16261872page21image16262080page21image16262288

Chakra Clearing & Balancing

Strengthen and Balance Your Chakra Benefits:

  • Releases emotional toxins
  • Creates emotional balance
  • Helps you resolve the “stories” that create obstacles in your life
  • Increases overall health and happiness
  • Strengthens your entire energy field

This is really a fantastic exercise to do for yourself or for another. If you want to learn more about the chakras go for it but it’s not necessary for this exercise to be effective. We also have a videoyou can watch or a book you can read.

Thymus Thump

Thymus. The second thump is in the middle of your sternum or right between your nipples. It’s the hard spot on your chest. Thump this very hard. (You can even do a King Kong move, hitting your chest as he would – and if you feel like adding sound effects, go for it, this is meant to be fun, too.) This is will increase your immune system. When we are stressed out our thymus gland shrinks and thumping it will stimulate it, giving you more strength and vitality.

The Crown Pull

Crown pull. Since your hands are near your forehead, this creates the perfect transition into a crown pull. Start by gently placing your hands on your forehead with your fingers facing each other. Begin to pull the skin toward your temples and upward until you reach your hairline. Then increase the pressure, as if you are digging your fingers into the “part” of your hair (the center line of your head) and pull/drag your fingers apart. Continue this all the way over your head, to the back of your head and ending on your neck. This is great for clearing mental congestion and opens the crown chakra, opening you to creative inspiration and universal information. Try this exercise if you are feeling negative or if you have a headache.
