The Meridians

These pathways are like an “energy bloodstream.” They affect every physical organ and process emotions. When they get blocked, we develop illness, depression and stress, so tracing them is vital to our overall health. There are fourteen meridian pathways that include central, governing, spleen, heart, small intestine, bladder, kidney, circulation sex, triple warmer, gallbladder, liver, lung, large intestine and stomach.

Stress, chemicals and an unhealthy environment may imbalance the meridians. They can also become clogged or flow backward. Luckily it’s easy to maintain meridian health. Your hands and fingers have electromagnetic energy that effects the meridians so whether you trace or flush them and you will immediately encourage your body to communicate more effectively and remind them that you are conscious about caring for it. To keep them flowing forward, thump your k-27 points. See the book Energy Medicine by Donna Eden for detailed information on this energy system.

Great Eden Energy Medicine techinque

K-27 Thump.
This is a great place to start to get your body and mind energized and your energy flowing. K-27 is the last point on the Kidney Meridian which is considered to “jump start” your energy. You must thump vigorously. The thumping will probably hurt at first but that’s good. If you do it too softly, you actually reverse what you are trying to do, so do not be gentle with yourself!!! Of course, if you have any medical implants or have an injury in this area use common sense and consult your doctor.

Your K-27s are the two spots just under the center of your collarbone (really a bit out and away from the center). A finger’s width below the collarbone there is a soft dip and if massaged deeply it will probably be sore. Whenever anything is sore it means you need to get the energy there moving. So, using your thumb, index and middle finger (or knuckles – whatever feels right to you) thump these spots. This will make sure your energy and meridians are flowing forward. It will re-energize your mind and keep you focused on the task at hand. So if you’re in a meeting, it’s an easy way to revitalize yourself because you can subtly massage this area and nobody will know what you are doing.

Clearing the Meridians

Benefits:
Our meridians are very important to our entire health and sometimes because of life they become sluggish or blocked. This exercise is very simple but will clear your meridian pathways. Deeper meridian work is necessary for most people but this is a great starting point for self-care.

With a pendulum / light catcher spin it in front of your feet / toes and under your feet. Spin it in front of your fingers, on the sides of your chest, over your temples. If you already know where all the meridians begin and end spin the crystal there.
