White/Crown Chakra

white-chakra-250x300The frequency of the color white matches the 7th, or crown, chakra, located at the top of the head. This is where our spiritual life exists and where we achieve unity with our “source.”

It is the center of imagination and inspiration.

When this chakra is aligned and open, we experience oneness with the universe. When you are drawn to this color energy it is a time for you to reconnect with your source, your spirituality.

Look at your life and see if you are living in accordance with your spiritual beliefs. An attraction to white might also indicate that an aspect of your life needs cleansing. It could be a situation you find yourself in, or it could be a condition within. White is particularly effective in getting rid of negativity, so allow it to clear out any blocked energy that might be hampering your connection to your spirit.

Visualization:

Imagine the most perfect white showering through the top of your head and body and out through your feet. As it passes through you, all negativity and blocks are washing away. You are filled with light, love and joy. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I am here now.

Physical benefits:

  • Affects the skeletal system

Metaphysical benefits:

Violet/Third Eye Chakra

violet-chakraThe frequency of the color violet matches the 6th, or third eye, chakra, located between the eyebrows and related to the pituitary gland.

It is our celestial body and the place of knowledge and understanding that enables us to “see” intuitively.

According to the Hopi Indians, human consciousness is evolving into the violet chakra. This chakra allows us to see or sense energy around us and connect with our psychic selves. It also allows us to have detachment so that we can look objectively at the people and situations in our lives.

Being drawn to this color suggests that it is a time for you to connect with your spirit and reflect upon the people and situations in your life without attaching desire or fear. Using violet energy will help you to see things for what they are.

Visualization:

See your third eye glowing with violet light and connecting you to your spirit. You are calm and open to all information. You can see truth without making judgments. You can see people and situations as they really are, without fear or desire. You are allowing your intuitive wisdom to send messages to your conscious mind. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I see through the illusion.

  • Aids physical manifestation
  • Influences the pituitary and endocrine system
  • Helps the immune system
  • Affects the sinuses, ears, eyes and face

Blue/Throat Chakra

blue-chakraThe frequency of the color blue matches the 5th, or throat, chakra, located in the throat and related to the thyroid gland.

This chakra is unique because it not only has seven layers but also has seven chambers, which makes sense because we can speak or listen from any of our chakras depending on your point of view at that time. It is where we find our higher potential and manifest our dreams.

We do our listening from this chakra and when this center is open you are able to speak with honesty and clarity and express your true feelings with love. This is where our social consciousness resides; it’s the center that asks if you are living and speaking your truth. If you are not, you create a blockage that usually manifests as depression or a physical problem in the throat. Addiction and/or willpower problems are also held here.

The blue energy will strengthen your true individuality, your will and your ability to live truthfully and communicate effectively. It also strengthens your belief in fate, that everything happens for a reason and that, so as long as you are living truthfully, your decisions will lead you to where you need to be.

Visualization:

Envision a situation or relationship that you want to work on surrounded by a blue light. Visualize yourself effectively communicating and taking action to positively resolve the issue. Your intentions come from love. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I am my higher self.

Green/Heart Chakra

green-chakraThe frequency of the color green matches the 4th, or heart, chakra, located in the center of the chest near the heart and related to the thymus, a part of the lymph system.

It is our astral body and where we travel to in our sleep.

Note: We want to share that through our extensive work with this chakra we believe most healthy hearts have a pink energy around the green. Pink is a very loving and happy color. It attracts love and promotes giddiness.

The heart chakra links the three physical chakras of the lower body (the basethe sacral and solar-plexus) to the three spiritual chakras in the upper body, merging matter and spirit. It is also the place where our masculine and feminine energies meet. When balanced one feels safe, able to trust, love, feel loved and take risks. Green is about love.

So when you are drawn to this color you need to take stock, to see if you’re holding on to grief and/or anger. Holding on to negative emotions like hurt, anger and resentment takes up negative space in your heart chakra and blocks the love you are able to give and receive. You need to let these things go and allow space for positive new things to happen to you. Forgiveness is usually a big part of this process and green energy will provide the support you need.

Visualization:

Imagine your heart area is glowing with your ideal green. See the glow spreading with every breath. You are letting go of all grief, anger and pain. You are being suffused with pure love energy. This love energy is extending outward, as far outward as your mind will take you, into the infinite universe. Feel the love energy flowing out and feel the abundant love energy flowing in. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I think and act with love.

Physical benefits:

  • Calms our physical body
  • Activates our innate healing abilities
  • Influences the thymus gland and immune system
  • Tied to the heart and pulmonary activities and circulatory system

Metaphysical benefits:

  • Promotes unconditional love
  • Increases our sensitivity and compassion
  • Revitalizes over-worked minds
  • Awakens greater hope, faith and peace
  • Promotes personal transformation
  • Helps irritability and sleeplessness
  • Balances our energies

Yellow/Solar Plexus Chakra

yello-solar-pelxusThe frequency of the color yellow matches the 3rd, or solar plexus, chakra, located in the solar plexus between the navel and the rib cage.

It is our intellectual body and our second intuitive center (after orange).

This is where our thoughts and opinions are formed and controlled. Your gut instinct, which originates in the orange chakra as an emotion, appears here in a more cerebral form. It generates personal power. It is the part of us that can sense the feelings of others.

The yellow chakra is the center that is most easily sapped by other people because it is associated with our self-esteem and our opinion of ourselves. If you were drawn to this color, use your intuition to figure out where your inner power is being drained.

Are you too critical of yourself, or is there a specific person or situation that is draining your energy? If it’s you, work with yellow and the color green together, as green promotes self-love. But if it’s an outside force, separate yourself from it. If you can’t detach yourself, protect yourself instead by rebuilding your self-esteem.

Visualization:

Imagine your solar plexus area glowing with light and inside this sunshine-filled space see yourself as a young child. Talk to yourself as if you were your own child and tell her that you love her, she’s beautiful and she’s done such a good job. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I am good to myself.

Physical benefits:

  • Aids in the breakdown of fatty acids and starches
  • Assists in mineral assimilation
  • Good for digestive problems
  • Can ease ulcers
  • Helps constipation, diabetes, stomach, gall bladder, kidney, liver, rheumatism, spleen, cramps, piles, alcohol poisoning

Metaphysical benefits:

  • Stimulates our intellect
  • Reawakens enthusiasm for life
  • Promotes free will
  • Eases psychosomatic disease
  • Helps us sense others feelings
  • Center of empathy and psychic impressions
  • Promotes confidence and optimism

Orange/Spleen Chakra

orange-spleenThe frequency of the color orange matches our 2nd, or spleen, chakra, located in the center of the abdomen between the red and yellow chakras.

This is the center of emotion and power in the body.

It is where your intuitive or “gut” instincts come from, as it is the center where you receive the first emotional information from your higher self. When aligned properly you feel connected with other people.

When you are drawn to this color there is some type of power issue in your life, usually related to money and/or sex. You might find yourself feeling particularly needy in a relationship, or you may have feelings of guilt about sexual desire. Or you might find yourself on the wrong side of power struggles at work.

Using orange energy will guide you through the process of regaining power in your life and reconnecting with your inner wisdom.

Visualization:

In your mind’s eye, see your perfect orange glowing strongly in your gut area. Visualize yourself as an open channel to your own inner wisdom. Affirm to yourself that this center is strong and balanced and that you are guided by your higher self. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: I am good to others.

  • Aids self expression and creativity

Red/Root Chakra

red-rootThe frequency of the color red matches our 1st, or root, chakra, located at the base of the spinal column. It is our physical body, the body most closely related to earth.

Our survival instincts are found here.

When this center is open and aligned you feel healthy and connected with your body. When you are drawn to red, one of two things is usually happening. First, you might need to re-evaluate your personality traits in relation to your “tribe” – meaning your family and/or your immediate community.

This re-evaluation is important because through your tribe you can pick up a lot of traits that aren’t really your own and that you may not particularly like or want. The second might be the need to overcome fear, especially fear of the future and/or death. Use the red energy to support you through these two processes and you will move through them with strength.

Visualization:

Imagine there is a cord that leads from the base of your spine down into the center of the earth. The cord wraps around a giant crystal that feeds this center strength and safety from the earth. Then, imagine your ideal self and feel that truth flow through you. You feel strong and sexy. Breathe it in.

Affirmation: We are one.

Physical Benefits:

  • Strengthens physical energy
  • Helps alleviate cold symptoms
  • Influences reproductive systems
  • Aids the circulatory system
  • Helps anemia, bronchitis, constipation and listlessness

Metaphysical Benefits:

  • Awakens our life force or Kundalini
  • Stimulates deep passions such as love, sex & hate
  • Eases fears
  • Strengthens our will & courage
  • Tied to life-promoting consciousness

Chakras

There are seven main energy centers, or chakras, seven layers deep, in your body. Each Chakra has seven layers and holds a life lesson. They hold our “stories” making it especially important to have an awareness of how to release old energy and how to bring radiance to these centers of energy.

The Chakras tend to vibrate at frequencies matching the frequencies of their corresponding colors, although if you are deep into the layers you will find other colors come into play. This is why color so strongly affects your energy system.

We all have an innate knowledge of what color energies we need on a daily basis, and make aesthetic choices accordingly. The alignment and strength of your Chakras is crucial to the electromagnetic field, or aura, that surrounds your physical body.

Make sure to scroll to the end of this for really fun and helpful Chakra links!

Note: All joints in our body are secondary ‪chakras‬‬ and where we receive and release energy so be mindful not to let the energy become stagnant. This is why movement is so important! Dancing, yoga and stretching are perfect for this. But, here are the main chakras.

Root or 1st chakra – Related to earth.

Where our primal instincts are. This center is where we find our strength and passion and sense of safety.
Related color: Red.
Affirmation: We are one.

Spleen or 2nd chakra – Primary center for emotion and intuition.

Creativity, joy and sexuality are processed here.
Related color: Orange.
Affirmation: I am good to others.

Solar Plexus or 3rd chakra – Where our thoughts and opinions are formed.

Stimulating to our intellect. This center is closely related to our sense of identity.
Related color: Yellow.
Affirmation: I am good to myself.

Heart or 4th chakra – Connects us with love.

Where our consciousness merges the physical and spiritual and where the yin and yang aspects of us balance.
Related color: Green.
Affirmation: I think and act with love.

Throat or 5th chakra

Where we find our higher potential and manifest greater abundance by speaking the truth. This center is about expression – how you communicate, and communication is a two way street!
Related color: Blue.
Affirmation: I am my higher self.

Third Eye or 6th chakra

Enables us to manifest our visualizations and psychic ability. This center allows us to have a broader perspective in every way.
Related color: Violet.
Affirmation: I see through the illusion.

Crown or 7th chakra

Where our spiritual life exists and where we achieve unity with our Higher Source.
Related color: White.
Affirmation: I am here now.

white-chakra-250x300Note about the 6th and 7th chakra colors
Many believe the 6th to be violet and the 7th to be indigo but according to Rosalyn L. Bruyere who wrote a book based her UCLA study called Wheels of Light says the 6th chakra is violet and the 7th is white. This plus our own research, working with clients, teachers and energy muscle testing we agree these are the colors that correspond to those chakras.

Another important note is the according to Donna Eden who see’s energy there is not one color associated with each chakra as each chakra has seven layers and can hold many colors. We actually agree with both lines of thought. If you are putting someone is a study or controlled environment to align the surface of their chakras with any vibrational remedy, such as sound, the chakras will indeed match the colors as we stated here. That said when you take into consideration the chakra layers other colors absolutely come into play. We are complex multi-dimensional beings so it makes perfect sense our energy systems are multi-dimensional as well!

The Outer Or Spiritual Chakras

Important note: Our research has shown many differing opinions on exactly where these chakras are and what they are used for – we feel drawn to the research in the book Healing With The Rainbow Rays by Alimandra plus she was highly recommended to us by teachers we trust.

Silver / 8th Chakra sits below our feet and draws up feminine energy into our bodies and grounds us. It’s our cosmic mother.

Gold / 9th Chakra sits above our heads and is related to male energy and connects us with source energy. It’s our cosmic father.

Note: You can balance your male and female energy using the 8th and 9th chakras.

Clear / 10th &11th ‪Chakras‬‬ sit in the palm of our hands and are extra ‪healing‬‬ because of the powerful ‪electromagnetic‬‬ ‪energy that is help there‬‬, which is why our hands are great healing tools, they easily give & receive energy.

It is believed the dominant hand holds the 10th chakra and will help release anything the chakra you are working on is ready to let go of.
The non-dominant hand holds the 11th chakra and will help to create balance in the chakra you are working. You can also use this hand to put radiance back into a chakra by using your intentions.

Black / 12th ‪Chakra‬‬ sits below the sliver chakra beneath our feet. It helps us to accept ‪change‬‬ and move forward. Black is a ‪protective‬‬ color.

Note: Both black and white contain the entire color spectrum.

Scanning
There are many ways to test individual chakras and their health but I have a super easy way. I, Tina, have been doing this I was a teenager; it was instinct. With closed eyes I took my hand and would “scan” peoples bodies to find where healing was needed. I do this with chakras as well, either on the front or the back of people’s bodies. You close your eyes, take a deep breath and with the palm of your hand slowly move your hand upward from the base of the spine to just over the head. When I do this I feel a warm push, or a heaviness or even a visual of some gray / darkish energy. Once you’ve found this spot open your eyes to see what chakra you are over. I have found that there are usually 1-2 chakras that usually want some attention at any given moment. I have tested this technique against other chakra testing techniques and found it to be spot on. Give it a try and trust your feelings, your inner wisdom will guide you, take your time, don’t rush it and you will feel it.

Chakra Radiance

If you are unsure where your chakras are….
For basic chakra clearing and balancing
I’ll be making a video of all these techniques but until then if you need visual help just contact me and I will be happy to send you a picture or even a quick Skype call to demonstrate…

Chakra Heart Connections
Sometimes our individual chakras may be super strong but they may not be connected to each other and we need them to be. They need to communicate and transmit supportive energy to each other, and to our Auric field, so making sure they are connected is fantastic chakra and healthy energy maintenance!

If you know how to self-test fantastic but in all honesty I always connect them all at the same time – it cares for the entire chakra system and our energy, and chakras, appreciates that.

A beautiful way to connect your chakras is with over-laying hearts. With the palms of your hands trace a heart over your 1st / base chakra and from the bottom of the heart pull the energy up to your 2nd / sacral chakra and trace the heart so that the bottom of it ends within the top of the heart you just made on your 1st / base. From this spot you pull upward to your 3rd / solar plexus chakra and let it end inside the top of the 2nd / sacral chakra. You continue this upward, it’s almost like weaving hearts and over-laying them up your body to just over the top of your head.

More Heart Energy Tools try the Electrical Heart Hook-Up and the 12-Hearts

Figure-8’ing The Chakras
This is super simple yet super powerful. With the palm of your hand, starting at the 1st or base chakra (over the pelvic area) and you make figure-8 motions, slowly, upward towards the sacral or 2nd chakra and then continue this all the way up to and slightly above your head. Take your time, three slow breaths worth of time to connect each chakra to the one above it.

Once you have completed the above finish with a two-handed, crossing over, continuous figure-8 motion up the front of your body. Instead vertical figure-8’s you are now making horizontal figure-8’s with both hands and your hands crossover each other as you harmoniously weave upwards. You are not only connecting each chakra but also creating crossovers within many of your energy systems and it feels amazing!

Waving Into The Chakras
Inspired by Eden Energy Medicines Heaving Rushing In

It’s simple and powerful! I’ve been doing this for long time now and it makes me, and my clients, happy every time! The benefits are limitless bringing joy, radiance and healing into your bodies energy systems. You can also customize this for whatever energy you need at the time. Sometimes we need comfort, other times bravery, just know whatever you need is available through this self-care tool.

1. Quickie Version. Standing, sitting or lying down have your palms upward, arms slightly extended from your body, about 1-2 ft., as this is really one continuous movement where you open your hands upward briefly to bring radiant energy into the palms of your hand and then with a flowing wave motion you scoop that energy into your chakra(s). You start at your 1st / base chakra moving up to the 7th / crown. You may feel the radiance in the form of heat or even a tickle, it will be different for everyone, and some may even see it. I sometimes visualize golden balls of energy in my hands and I connect to all the joy and love in the universe and then scoop that into each chakra. Remember you can call upon any energy you need, such as happiness, confidence, relaxation etc. I usually do this process pretty quickly and because of that as I move up the chakras I am creating crossovers at the same time. It’s like Lacing the Nadis, except you move upwards and are scooping in universal radiance as you go.

2. Shamanic Version. In Tikal Guatemala we were doing a sacred ceremony at night in the middle of a ruin that was an energy portal to the Pleiades star constellation. The energy was out of this world, literally! I wanted this radiant magical energy to become apart of me. I was lying down on the grass and began to make true wave motions. I opened my arms stretching them outward as far as they could go, palms up and slightly higher than my body. Sometimes I turned my palms to touch the ground and then upward because I wanted to get the earth energies as well as the cosmic ones. So with palms up I let them fill with the high frequency energy I was bathing in and I slowly waived that energy into each chakra. It’s not one wave, it’s a few encouraging waves. It was a smooth and gentle gathering of the energies surrounding me and seeding within me. I did this several times to each chakra. Sometimes the waving was continuous and other times I took the time to let my hands sit on the chakra I was feeding, which really allowed that chakra to soak in and root to the radiant energy. This is a very instinctual technique, you want to follow the energy and do what feels right to you. Set the intention for what you want to bring in and affirm that it is very loving, nurturing and radiant.

You don’t need to be in some sacred place to connect to this kind of high frequency energy, you can do it in your backyard or even your floor – intention is everything! Mother earth is wise so you can ask that she connect you with certain energies and / or places anywhere in the world – everything is connected! I often call upon places where I have had profound meditations or experiences; it’s a great tool and a great reminder of our oneness with everything.

3. I have found doing all these radiant chakra techniques in different environments and times of the day can really shift what you bring in. At night you can bring in moon energy and all its femininity, its gentleness and radiance. Do it in the middle of the day and take in the power of the sun energy, which I have found to be energizing, uplifting and joyful.

You can of course always visualize any part of this process – our mind and intentions have great power!

Speaking of intention….

Ellen Meredith teaches us to tap into radiance and let it “drip” into your chakras, or any other place in your body that needs radiance, like an injury or someplace that just feels stuck, blocked or heavy. It’s quite simple, using your intuition and intention to find some radiance – point your left pointer finger up in the air and move it around until you feel radiance and let your finger plug into it. Then hold your right hand / pointer finger over the area you want to fill with radiance and these 2 hand / finger positions will allow radiant energy to flow into you.

Trust yourself and enjoy!

This experience was so powerful and sacred I am having a hard time capturing it on paper, it may still be processing and it’s extremely esoteric, so I will continue to work on it but I wanted to share as much of it as I could in this moment. I have broken it up into sections so you can skip parts you may not be interested in. This photo by Rick Maitri is inside the ruin while the following story was happening – pure magic!

The Story Leading Up To The Story
In Tikal, Guatemala, we were encouraged to have alone time to explore and commune with whatever our energies needed. I was walking around on my own and not a person in sight – most tourists come in the morning so the park after lunch it is practically empty, which was amazing. Mysterious feeling too because I was thinking wow I am walking though an ancient Mayan city! It was thrilling and because I was very connected to the love energy of this land (not the brutality). I was taking it all in…and then a truck full of men with machine guns pass me by. This is not unusual for this area so I wasn’t worried but when they stopped way up the road (and I use the word road loosely) I thought do I just keep going to where I know, which means I would have to pass the men with guns, or do I go off road which I was warmed to be careful of because getting lost is a real possibility. Clear choice, the road less traveled.

The path became very narrow and I heard bustling in the dense jungle I was walking through. I stopped, it stopped. I walked, it began to walk again. I stopped. It stopped. Jaguars are nocturnal so I wasn’t worried about them but there were many other exotic and possibly territorial animals. So I said out loud, hello I’m friendly! Silence from us both for a few minutes and then I heard the bustling going away from me, I guess he was just checking me out but now I wanted to see him. I did try! It was thrilling pushing back huge leaves and branches as I tried to find him. Unfortunately I never got to see my jungle friend.

A Ruin Found
When the path became too dense to follow anymore I didn’t want to get lost, which I felt I already was. I turned around and the path lead me into a different direction than I had come strangely, I couldn’t find the main road but I was loving my adventure and just went where energy guided me. I came upon a ruin with a very dark tunnel on the side of it. I wanted to go in and immediately went towards it and then I felt strongly I wasn’t supposed to go so I began to walk away and then I felt called to go in. Into the pitch-blackness of the tunnel I went. It didn’t even occur to me I could use my phone as a flashlight, crazy. The tunnel was narrow so I was brushing my hands against the walls, which were moist with moss, and walking very carefully. I could feel a change on the wall, it began to curve slightly and I saw a glimmer of light. I followed the turn and saw the exist about 20 feet ahead of me – it was beautiful and exciting – I felt like a real explorer☺

I walk in and immediately my heart jumped with joy and I gasped with delight. I looked around, sat around, did some energy moves and began to look for stones – I asked the land to give me a stone but I couldn’t find one that stood out to me so I figured it had nothing for me. The energy began to feel very intense as if it was saying time to go so I went. Some of this sounds very whoo whoo but I promise these energies were so palpable that they could not be dismissed.

The Loving Experience
Later that night we were having a sacred ceremony in a very special place they told us, an energy portal to the Pleiades constellation. When we arrived I was stunned it was the place I had found earlier. The Pleiades had called me to this place for some reason, asked me to go and now welcomed me back with all it’s love and power. The shaman (Tata) went in first blissing the “birth cannel” (the tunnel I had gone through earlier) and we then had to bow and kiss the earth humbly asking if we could enter. As I walked through again and reentered the ruin it felt different – the power had increased but it wasn’t intense, it was powerfully gentle.

I positioned myself in the middle of the grounds, right under the Pleiades constellation and the moon was lighting up the ruin, stunningly magical and mysterious. You could feel its life. I was lying on the earth looking up and feeling everything – I could feel the entirety of patchamama. I laid there on my journey staring up at the sky, at the stars and moon and I would turn my body slowly to stay aligned in the center of the portal and one of the times I moved my hand which was laying face up but somehow the earth seemed to be reaching up to give me a stone. It felt like an earth hand literally put it into my hands – what a gift, what an experience. All of the sudden this stone was in my hand and I knew it was a sacred gift from the portal. I put it on my heart center under my cloths and felt it helped deepen my connection with everything. It’s a powerful stone and I am thankful for it. I keep it with my special wakka stones / crystals next to my bed and I travel with them too. But this Pleiades portal stone still retains it’s full power – when I touch it I can feel the energy of the place running through me, feeding me, empowering me with love and earth and cosmic energies.

The earth was hugging me, I seriously felt it around me and the heavens were bathing me and I felt it showering through and in me that in itself is incredible. But, it was even more glorious when I felt true deep sold self-love light up inside me. Never have I felt love that deeply and it’s still with me – I transformed. I sat up and began to hug myself and what a feeling! I have never hugged myself that way before in the physical sense but also energetically. The land and the energy portal was wrapping me with so much love and radiance I felt connected to all the love in the world but mostly it was the love inside of me that opened wide.

I began to do the Waving Into The Chakras. This is inspired from Donna Eden’s Heaven Rushing In. I opened my arms wide, palms up and let them fill up with this magical power energy and I scooped it into each chakra – it was indescribably beautiful. And I can feel the difference in the foundation of my chakras and all my energy systems really. This energy integrated into every level of who I am physically and non-physically. It felt liberating, sacred and opening in everyway.

You Can Create This At Home
The energy of any land has it’s own unique energetic vibration and if you are a traveler you will know what I mean when I say some places just encourage your energy to transform into something deeply wonderful and lasting. That said where you live could be your radiant power source. It might be that already and if so you just have to tap into it and if not you might need to do some energy work to create it by using sage, crystals and set clear intentions all over your home and land.

You can also call for energy from a place you had an amazing spiritual experience – energy from the entire planet is ready to connect with you and be in service to you, just ask and you shall receive.

I have found it is rare to find any land that does not respond to love and gratitude. Everything is connected! Try it out – lie flat on any land near you and send it love, gratitude and tell it you are so grateful for its beauty and strength and see what happens! I have asked friends to do this in the past and they were amazed they could feel love being given to them.

Waving Into The Chakras

Waving Into The Chakras
Inspired by Eden Energy Medicines Heaving Rushing In

It’s simple and powerful! I’ve been doing this for about 3-4 years now and it makes me happy every time! The benefits are limitless bringing joy, radiance and healing into your bodies energy systems. You can also customize this for whatever energy you are needing at the time. Sometimes we need comfort, other times bravery, just know wherever you need is available through this self-care tool.

1. Basic Quickie Version. Standing, sitting or lying down extend your palms upward, arms slightly extended but not much (no more than 1 ft.) as this is really one continuous movement where you open your hands upward briefly to bring radiant energy into the palms of your hand and then with a flowing wave motion you scoop that energy into your chakra(s). You start at your base chakra moving up to the crown. You may feel the radiance in the form of heat or even a tickle, it will be different for everyone, and some may see it, I sometimes see golden balls of energy in my hands and I connect to all the joy and love in the universe and then scoop it into each chakra. Remember you can call upon any energy you need, such as happiness, confidence, relaxation etc. I usually do this process pretty quickly and because of that as I move up the chakras I am creating crossovers at the same time. It’s like lacing the Nadis, except you are scooping in universal radiance as you go. I’ll make a video one of these days. Contact me if you have questions, this is really worth having in your self-care tool bag!

2. Shamanic Version. In Tikal Guatemala we were doing a sacred ceremony at night in the middle of a ruin that was an energy portal to the Pleiades star constellation. The energy was out of this world, literally! I wanted this radiant magical energy to become apart of me. I was laying down on the grass and began to do Waving Into The Chakras but the energy and my instincts were guiding me differently. Guiding me to make true wave motions. I opened my arms stretching them outward as far as they could go, palms up but my arms pretty much stayed parallel to my body, maybe slightly higher at times. This felt right because I wanted to get the earth energies as well as the cosmic ones. My palms were up and I let it fill with the high frequency energy I was bathing in and I slowly waived it into each chakra. It was a smooth and gentle gathering of the energies surrounding me and seeding within me. I did this several times, taking the time to lay my hands on the chakra I was feeding, and sometimes I didn’t do that, I was following the energy. Sometimes once the energy was waived into one chakra, in a continuous motion I let my hands / arms crossover to open my arms once more and repeat the process. I might say it felt profound but that seems cliché because the energy was like nothing I have ever felt. It was very loving, nurturing and radiant.

Please know you don’t need to be in some sacred place like this to connect to this kind of high frequency energy, you can do it in your backyard – intention is everything! Mother earth is wise so you can ask that she connect you with certain energies and / or places anywhere in the world – everything is connected!

3. I have found doing this in different environments and times of the day can really shift what you bring in. At night you can bring in moon energy and all its femininity, its gentleness and its radiance. Do it in the middle of the day and take in the power of the sun energy, which I have found to be energizing, uplifting and joyful.

You can of course always visualize any part of this process – our minds and intentions have great power!

Hope you enjoy!

The Three Gratitude’s

When I spent time in different Asian countries I had the great fortune to go to many temples and I noticed they all had different “entry” methods but the most common seemed to be bowing three times during entry and before meditation and that stuck with me. As time went on my meditation practice evolved and I began to do this before I meditated – three bows – from head, to heart, to earth.

This evolved into what I now call The Three Gratitude’s. Take at least one deep slow breath in each position.

1. Hands in prayer position centered in front of your forehead, which touches your 6th or third eye chakra, and I thank the universe and all my loving source energies.

2. Hands in prayer position over the center of your chest, which is where your 4th or heart chakra sits, and I thank all the different parts of me and my guides because I see them as an extension of me.

3. Hands touching the floor or at least palms facing down towards the ground and I thank the earth.

I’ve done this repetitively for a couple of years now and it has become a practice in itself. If I do not have time to meditate I make sure I find time to do this 1-2 times a day in front of my alter or anyplace that feels sacred.

I can deeply feel each connection and feel the gratitude being sent back to me. It feels warm & sacred and sometimes super fun. I sometimes talk to the energies in each position and that never fails to bring a smile to my face that comes from the deepest part of myself.

I hope this brings you happy and beautiful deepening’s in everything you do and just remember NO RULES, make this your own.

Cleansing The Heart Chakra

In order for us to walk forward and create positive change we must come from love and in order to do that we must clear our heart chakras and let go of old wounds. This visualization has always made us feel energetically lighter and is extremely effective.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and turn your attention inward. See your heart as a flower about to bloom. The outside is green and the petals inside are pink and they begin to bloom one petal at a time…as each petal opens dust and dirt effortlessly falls out…it blows away with a gentle wind…another petal opens, more debris falls away…take as much time as you need to see each petal open and clear. As the flower blossoms the dirt falling out reveals a radiant glowing pink flower purified and cleared of all old emotions and energy…you have let go. Now invite loving presence to come into your heart…you are an open channel to the love and light and are bathed in that energy. You are new and ready to live in love. Breathe that in.

Speak Your Truth

We want you to speak your truth! Clearing the throat chakra is one way to ensure you express yourself effectively and also be able to process what others are expressing. I learned long ago that if you come from love, if all your thoughts, words and actions are from love you are on the right path.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath in your nose and out your mouth. Turn your attention inward. In your mind’s eye see that your feet are deeply rooted to the center of the earth and its life force fills your body with strength, balance and vitality. See your throat chakra begin to open in a beautiful blue radiance. Its healing energy is blooming and gently washing through your entire throat area, cleansing you, releasing blockages. You are connected with the blue healing energy and all the pathways in your throat chakra are clear, open and flowing freely – you express yourself easily and effectively. You say what you need too and listen to what you have to hear. Every cell in your body is vibrant and healthy, you are in vibration with expression, creativity and confidence. All your words come from love and you are heard. Breathe that in.

Clearing and Balancing Your Chakras

Strengthen and Balance Your Chakra Benefits:

  • Releases emotional toxins
  • Creates emotional balance
  • Helps you resolve the “stories” that create obstacles in your life
  • Increases overall health and happiness
  • Strengthens your entire energy field

This is really a fantastic exercise to do for yourself or for another. If you want to learn more about the chakras go for it but it’s not necessary for this exercise to be effective. We also have a video you can watch or a book you can read.

The Basic How To:
Lying face up, you are going to begin clearing the chakra with a counterclockwise motion, clearing, and then with the right hand in a clockwise motion, balancing. You are the clock and your head is twelve o’clock. Counterclockwise circles will mean your left hand starts moving left. Clockwise circles mean your right hand starts moving right.

A quickie you will make 3-4 circles counterclockwise with left hand and then using your right hand 3-4 circles clockwise. This takes only a minute to do and is easy incorporate into your daily energy tune-up.

If you want deeper results spend at least three minutes clearing and three minutes balancing. A deeper session is about 35-40 minutes, or more! You really need to use your intuition because sometimes you need to work on a chakra for 15 minutes or more – follow the energy, trust your intuition and you can’t go wrong – a long session is well worth it!!!!!

Helpful Hints:
These are not a rules just guidelines so trust your instincts. You may feel the need to spend more time over one chakra, maybe less on another. You might feel you need to shake the energy off your hands while you are doing this – just shake it off to the side, not on yourself or your partner. Hold your hands anywhere between 3 – 6 inches above the body. You want to try and make your circles at a slow calm pace and remember to breathe deeply and slowly.

Taking all this into consideration begin to clear and balance your chakras:

– The 1st or base chakra (over your pelvic area)
– The 2nd or sacral chakra (just under your belly button)
– The 3rd or solar plexus (bottom center of the ribcage)
– The 4th or heart (over the heart and breast)
– The 5th or throat chakra (over the throat)
– The 6th or third eye (between your eyebrows)
– The 7th or crown (top of the head). *** The crown chakra is the only tricky one because, if you’re a woman, you continue as you did with all the other chakras, counterclockwise and then clockwise, but if you are a man doing this to himself or if you’re doing this for a man you do the clockwise motion first and then counterclockwise.

Here is a more detailed version of how to clear and balance.

First thing to do if you are working on another is to ground and protect yourself. You can find more information about this in the blog / news: Caring For The Practitioner.

It’s best to do this lying down. If you are doing this for someone else you might want to have her lie on her stomach first. Place one hand on the base of her spine and the other at the top and gently rock her back and forth. It’s very soothing. Set the intention that you and the person you are working on will get what they need from this treatment, for the highest good of all involved.

Lying face up, take your left hand and place it a few inches above the 1st or base chakra (over the pelvic area) and move it in a counterclockwise circle – towards the right side of the body. Your left hand and counterclockwise movement draws energy out. Do this for about three minutes – this is a guideline, use your instincts for how long is needed. Shake the left hand off to the side as if shaking off any energy it’s collected and be conscious of where you shake if off. You don’t want to shake it onto yourself or another person, just into empty space.

Then move your right hand in clockwise circles, towards the left side of body, in the same place for the same amount of time and shake off energy when you’re done. The clockwise motion rebalances the energy of the chakras. Take lots of deep breaths and have the intention that you are clearing when you are going counterclockwise and the intention of balance when moving clockwise. Generally, your left hand receives energy and the right gives it.

OK, so you’ve done the 1st or base. Now move up to the 2nd or sacral chakra (just under your belly button) and do the same, then the solar plexus (bottom center of the ribcage), then the 4th or heart chakra (over the heart and breast area). The heart is a great place to incorporate figure-8s, especially for women. Next move to the 5th or throat chakra (over the throat area). Remember the throat chakra has seven chambers that extend past the actual throat area, so make sure you cover the area surrounding the throat as well. Next is the 6th or third eye (between your eyebrows) and then the 7th or crown (top of the head). The crown chakra is the only tricky one because, if you’re a woman, you continue as you did with all the other chakras, counterclockwise and then clockwise, but if you are a man doing this to himself or if you’re doing this for a man you make the clockwise motion first and then counterclockwise.

It’s a great idea to weave the chakras together after this with figure-8 motions. Begin at the base and make flowing figure-8 motions up the center of the body and off the head.

End by making figure-8 motions all around your or the persons body – above them, on the side and use your intuition as to wear your hands a drawn – as Donna Eden says “Follow the energy”.

You can make this a long session or a quickie, it’s up to you. The chakras have many layers so you may feel your hand energetically “drop” and that’s ok, it means you’ve moved to a deeper level. You may receive information in the form of a “knowing” – colors, images, smells, or maybe nothing. It’s all perfect, just go with it. If you are doing this for another, you and the other person will experience the things I just mentioned. A common thing that happens is seeing colors. If you’re working with someone it’s ok to have a dialog about what you’re feeling, but don’t have a full-on conversation because you want to stay tuned into the process.

I have done quick sessions on myself in the bath that have taken 5-10 minutes, other times 40 minutes, and the same goes for doing it for another. Let your intuition guide you. Also, after you have done the basic counterclockwise/clockwise movements, you may feel drawn to make other movements such as, figure-8s or upward circular motions as if you were pulling something out of the persons body. Just go with what feels right to you.

If you encounter an area or chakra level that is very heavy / dark / stuck and it just won’t loosen or release you might want to try Pain Pumping For The Chakras. It’s been very useful for me!

Our Chakra Oils are made with a very high vibration specifically celebrated for its correlated chakra. Chakra Color Choice

Reaping the benefits of the color you have chosen

  1. Visualize the color washing through you, this is a color shower.
  2. Wear the color. You absorb what you wear.
  3. Solarize your environment and the water you drink.
  4. Splash the color around your home with accessories. You may use flowers, pillows, sheets or whatever attracts you.
  5. To completely align all of your chakras, you can just place the cards on your body with each color facing its corresponding energy center. Breathe calmly for a few minutes while affirming to yourself that you are letting go of all negativity and blockages and aligning your chakras. You may also use a single card to align one energy center at a time – just place the appropriate card on the chosen energy center, breathe calmly and do the affirmation described above.
  6. Use the Chakra Oils and Chakra Stones to maintain the balance and health of your chakras.
* Try and focus on the color you have chosen for about three weeks. You can increase or decrease this time period depending on what your internal wisdom tells you. Trust yourself.

How To Use A Pendulum

Using pendulums
A pendulum is typically a pointed crystal that hangs on a chain from which it sways in various directions depending on the purpose it is being used for.

This can be a forced movement, lets say if you needed a clockwise/counterclockwise movement for the purpose of clearing chakras. It could also move through the use of subtle energy to help you find answers to your questions. With practice the use of a pendulum will become second nature and an invaluable energy tool. See the shop, pendulums.

Finding your yes and no
If you have questions about anything such as relationships or what to order from a menu you can rely on your pendulum to help guide your actions. Hold the pendulum in one hand so that it hangs at least four inches from your hand. Keeping it still, ask it “what is my yes?” this can be done in your head or out loud. I usually say it once out load and then keep your intent on the question. The pendulum will begin to swing back and forth, side-to-side, clockwise or counter-clockwise – each pendulum has its own energy and that energy interacts with yours, so the movements may vary. Once you get a distinct “yes” movement you find your “no” by repeating the process and asking, “what is my no?”

Clearing and balancing
You can use the pendulum to clear and balance your environment or any part of your body (especially over the chakras). You clear first by moving the pendulum counter-clockwise and then balance by spinning it clockwise. You can also spin any, but specifically the cut glass round ones, in from to your chakras and at the beginning and end of your meridians. Most of the time the pendulum will know what direction is needed and for how long. Take deep breaths and let the process happen.

General clearing
You can spin the pendulum back and forth under your feet, around your toes, fingers and hands, under your arms, under your eyes, over your third eye, at the temples, at the base of the spine and over the pubic bone. These are the main meridian end points and by spinning the crystal over them, you clear any blockages and make sure your energy freely flows in and out.

Quickie Energy Balance

THE QUICKIE energy balance

Adapted from Eden Energy Medicine

  1. Have partner lying face down
  2. Take a deep breadth, with your hands on their back – one hand top of back, other sacral area (at base of spine) and feel yourself ground to the earth and connect with the personas energy. Invite loving presence into the field of energy the two of you are creating and hold the person in love
  3. Sacral rock – one hand on sacral area, other on top of spine and rock back and forth for a few minutes.
  4. Spinal flush – remember to be about an inch away from the spine and you can do this laying down or for a quick mood shifter do the “up against the wall” – do it twice and sweep energy off body after.
  5. Shorter sacral rock
  6. Back hook up – place hand on bottom of spine and other hand on the dip in between the humps on the back of the persons head – hold this for a few minutes or until the person takes a deep breathe or sigh or yawn.
  7. Belt flow – drag your hands from the side of their body across to the other side of spine and do this a few times and then the final swipe is from one side of the body 9hip area) across back and down opposite side of body, down the leg and off the feet. Repeat on other side.
  8. With hand touching the body figure-8 the top and lower back, a bit off center to the side plus the top of shoulders and back of head, on humps of head
  9. Sweep energy off of arms and body
  10. Have partner turn to lay on back
  11. Massage k-27 and entire upper chest – this should be a very firm massage of this area. From under the collarbone and out to the armpits / seam between arm and chest.
  12. Hook-up – one finger in belly button, middle finger and other middle finger on third eye and gently pull upward. Wait for the person to take a deep breathe, sig or yawn and that’s when you know they have hooked up
  13. Belt flow – same as what you did on back but on front – remember always sweep from one side of body, across belt area and down opposite side of body, down the leg and off the feet.
  14. Massage back of head and slight head pull – head pull optional, holding the back and front of the head at the same time is fine.
  15. Massage head and hair gently
  16. Sweep energy off arms and body
  17. Make figure-8s all over body, side and front
  18. Make counter clockwise circles under feet – a few feet away. You can also massage the feet a bit making sure you get the heel, sides of feet and between the toes and pull energy off toes
  19. Knee to calf downward sweep and off feet
  20. Squeeze sides of feet a few time and slide fingers up each toe, like your pulling the energy off and out
  21. K1 wave – place fingers, I use two, right under the big toe but under the hump of the upper foot and slowly make a wave motion upward. Do this for a few minutes.

Obviously you can take a longer or shorter time doing all this depending on how much time you have and you can also just pick the parts you feel you really need if you don’t have allot of time but the whole thing is super balancing and restorative to your entire energy system – enjoy!

Energy Testing

Energy Testing Your Food primarily for testing anything you ingest into your body.

Please see a certified practioner to test vitamins and/or medications. Always consult your doctor when making any changes that will affect any illness you may have.

With a Partner: The Spleen Test
Have your partner stand with either arm at his or her side, fingers should
be pointing straight down, thumbs should touch the thigh. Gently place
one of your hands on the shoulder of the arm being tested (very gently
so it doesn’t interfere with the test) and place your other hand just above
your partner’s wrist and ask them to meet your resistance as you gently
pull their arm outward and toward you. See what the tension is like. Let
this amount of tension be your standard. Then have them hold the food
you want to test in the unextended hand. Holding the food being tested
over the stomach area is important when testing foods and/or medication. Now with one of your hands gently on the shoulder of the arm being tested and the other just above the inner wrist, ask them to resist and see what happens. If the arm is weaker than the standard – easier to pull away from the body – it means the substance isn’t good. It’s important to remember that our bodies are constantly changing, so something that is bad for you today may be ok tomorrow and that’s why knowing how to energy test is so important. You want to keep a constant and open dialog with your body.

Self-testing: Be a Human Pendulum
Hold the food you want to test in one hand, and place your other hand over it. Rest your hands over the solar plexus. Your elbows should be held against your sides, as if they were hugging your sides. Feet together, you are taking the pendulum pose. Close your eyes, take a deep inhale and empty your mind. Hold your inhale for a few seconds and on the exhale see if you naturally fall forward or back. Forward good, back bad. Or, do a test first by asking yourself, “what is my yes?” and “what is my no?” and see which way you fall for each. We are all different, so see what is right for you.

The Knee Test / Small IntestineTest
Try this if you’re out to dinner and want to know what is good for you to eat. Hold your hand over your food or tune into your body and hold your left finger over the item on the menu you want. Then hold your right leg
6 to 12 inches off the floor, slightly forward so you can see your toes if looking down. push down on the top of your thigh. Remember this isn’t about strength and making your leg go down, you’re testing to see the level of tension cre-ated. If you’re new to this, do the resistance test first without holding your hand or finger over the menu item you are testing
so that you have a standard to compare it to. I do it all the time and it really works. I’ll put my finger over, let’s say, fried mozzarella sticks and my knee will easily push down and then I’ll hold my finger over another menu option like a garden salad and my knee will hold strong. I often let my body guide what I order in restaurants and it’s discreet, nobody will know what you are doing.page21image16261456page21image16261872page21image16262080page21image16262288

Celtic Weave & Figure-8’s

Figure-8s. At this point you should be feeling revitalized and, if you’re in tune with your energy, you will feel the re-balancing that you have done. It’s a really wonderful feeling! Next you want to cleanse your energy and fluff your aura, so take a few deep breaths as you bring your hands above your head. As you exhale, let your arms continuously cross over each other in a flowing manner while slowly bending over until you are hanging over your toes. Next take a deep breath and swing your arms in figure-8 motions from side to side and when it feels right, begin to roll your spine upward. As you are coming up, continue to swing your arms in a figure-8 motion, allowing both arms to flow to the left and then the right. Let the figure-8 freely extend past your physical body. Let your body get involved by just allowing it to groove into its own figure 8. Let your intuition guide you to what feel best. Finish back where you started, hands above your head. Now move your hip area in a figure-8 motion while you bring your hands down along the side of your body. Move your hands in tiny figure-8 motions as you do this. Figure-8s will clear the energy in your energy field and environment. It also naturally creates crossovers, which are healing to the body. Again, make sure you are breathing and smile… smiling is a great therapy.

Thymus Thump

Thymus. The second thump is in the middle of your sternum or right between your nipples. It’s the hard spot on your chest. Thump this very hard. (You can even do a King Kong move, hitting your chest as he would – and if you feel like adding sound effects, go for it, this is meant to be fun, too.) This is will increase your immune system. When we are stressed out our thymus gland shrinks and thumping it will stimulate it, giving you more strength and vitality.

Spleen Thump

Spleen. The last thump begins three or four inches under your armpit and continues along your bra-line to under the nipples. This area is bound to be very sore because many toxins build up here. You are stimulating your spleen, which is responsible for processing the food you eat and the medications you take as well as your emotions. Emotional toxins and stuck energy tend to build up and you want to flush them daily. Once you start doing this every day the pain will significantly subside because you will have gotten the toxins and energy moving and flowing out of you. It’s also a great metabolism boost, so try and thump this area after every meal. When I first started doing this I lost five pounds without even trying because I was enabling my body to process properly. Thumping the spleen will also aid chronic fatigue and auto-immune diseases. Also ladies – NO MORE UNDERWIRE BRAS! They stop the toxins in this area from flushing out. Cut them out you’ll still get great support – I do.

The Hook-Up

Hook-up. Now you need to hook-up. Place your middle finger inside your belly button and the other middle finger on the third eye and gently pull up with both fingers. Hold this position until you feel yourself take a really deep breath – it happens naturally so don’t rush it. This grounds and calms you and hooks your energy up to joy. It’s also good to do this if you are feeling disconnected to the people around you.
