Natural Beauty

From a general human being perspective it is a gift to be able to see the beauty in everything – and there is beauty in everything. Even in pain and destruction comes growth and rebirth and to me that is beautiful. Beauty associated with people is tricky because in today’s world we sometimes have other people dictating a very narrow idea of what beauty is but this is changing. We now recognize being different is beautiful!  We’re all unique and that in itself is beautiful and since the dawn of time beauty has been defined by the people who love them; as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people have a certain something, a “je ne sais quoi.” That “something” is inner beauty. The reality is inner beauty is a very true and tangible quality. I spent ten years in the field of beauty during my Tony&Tina 1.0 years and I have seen first-hand how inner beauty creates aesthetic beauty. A part of the beauty biz is to have lots of events and Tony and I traveled around the world…event after event giving us the opportunity to connect with so many different kinds of people. No matter where we were one truth stood out clearly…The people who felt good about themselves looked great! I’ve seen stereotypical “beauties” look not so great and stereotypical “plain Jane’s” look stunning and it had nothing to do with the make-up or fashion. It is our inner radiance that exudes beauty.

Looking beautiful is all about how you carry yourself and what kind of energy you are generating. It goes without saying that you have to take care of yourself, physically, emotionally, spiritually. It’s really not that hard. It can be as simple as making sure you wash your face and moisturize every morning and night. You can’t get lazy at night because then the day’s dirt and grime just sits there and your complexion will suffer. No matter what skin challenges you have you deserve more than a dull complexion. It’s also about your energy. If you are energetically clear and balanced and live in love and joy you will look it and that’s beautiful. Don’t just try to look beautiful…be beautiful…to yourself and to everyone in your life.

All that said their are some natural remedies to keep us looking healthy and youthful and that’s always nice self-care. There are some good tools in this post but also check out the Radiant Beauty Visualization , A Night Of Beauty and the Healing Bath.

You will find in this post beauty tips, energy remedies, energy facial, facial exercises and food and spices that promote healthy radiant skin.

General Make-up Tips

My number one rules are…Less is always more… Blend, Blend, Blend…Glitter is pretty much appropriate anywhere, anytime, any age!

If you are wearing dark lipstick go light on the eyes

If you are wearing heavy eye make-up go light on the lips…a natural / sheer rose or plum is usually great for everyone.

Use any color you like on your lids but just a hint of it; a smear / dusting. Any Tony&Tina make-up fans…if you have any of our Universal Color Dust it is perfect for the effect!

Apply your shadow normally but then gently use your fingertip, or a make-up brush but I’ve always liked using my finger to smudge my eye shadow or eyeliner. It’s best to smudge it from the inside out and just make sure you wipe away any obvious streaks. I sometimes leave a little of it on so it looks like a very faint “shadow” upward and away from the eye.

Make-up is meant to accentuate your beauty not cover it up…and usually wearing tons of make-up can actually make you look older…

My usual routine is:

  • A very light / sheer foundation, if any. Luminizing is extra nice.
  •
  • A lip and cheek tint. I use a sheer color and always have it with me for a quick touch-up.
  • I still use the Tony&Tina Herbal Glitter Pencil (I might have some back in stock by November 2019). I never leave home without it.

Energy Facial:

    • Activates and increases your life-force
    • Increases circulation
    • Decreases stress
    • Figure-8 the energy onto any part of your body that needs balance and healing.

This video I have showing this is a very rough sloppy video but the information is there. I will be redoing this video shortly, ha I think I’ve been saying that for a year, all in good time. But it’s simple, increases your sense of radiance, creates a youthful healthy glow to your skin and activates your life-force.

How too:
There is an important energy point on your back – right behind the bellybutton. If you put one finger on your bellybutton and the other where that would be on your back – that is what is called the Ming Men point. Some say it’s an inch or two lower than your navel – I have found a few debates online but if you just massage that entire area you can’t go wrong! Everyone agrees that it’s considered a powerful life-force center in Chinese and Energy Medicine.

– On your back Ming Men point, it’s on your spine, use your fingers to firmly massage it, this awakens the radiant healing energy. Take turns doing this for a few seconds with both hands. I do it twice usually.
– With the palms of your hands you then drag this energy around to the front of your body and touching your body, in a continuous motion, bring your hands up to your face as if you are splashing water onto your face gently and slowly – you can make a circle with your hands and / or let them rest on your face allowing that healing energy to soak in. This brings a new and deeper energy to your face this usually gives you a beautiful radiant youthful glow inside and out. I love it!!!

Facial Detox:

      • Releases toxins / Lymphatic Drainage
      • Increases circulation
      • Decreases fine lines
      • Figure-8 eye massage you will program your energy to crossover, which has numerous benefits.

The following all great self-care tools.

Getting Rid of Toxins
You retain a lot of toxins in the skin cells of your face, so it’s a good idea to massage your face every day, which accelerates circulation and gives a radiant youthful appearance. It can help reverse signs of aging as well as being a powerful preventive care technique.

With the tips of your fingers, massage in a circular motion, concentrating on your chin, cheeks, temple, eye sockets and forehead. Where it hurts is where the toxins are being stored, so really work on those areas. This kind of lymphatic drainage, or clearing as I like to say, is very effective! Remember that when you release toxins you have to wash them away, so follow up by drinking plenty of water. Do this for a few minutes twice a day, this can be extra benifical when using our Rose Hip Seed Oil. Doing this before you wash your face and apply your moisturizer is a great routine to get into.

Another version is to vigorous give yourself a facial massage will release toxins and Using the back of your hand (this has less of a dragging effect) rub vigorously back and forth all over your face with special attention to the forehead and around the noise, chin and mouth area.

Around the eye area is especially important and this Eden Energy Medicine so here is an easy, simple an effective technique. With your fingers massage or firmly press down around the entire occipital lobe (NOT in your eye or on the inner soft area) – do it on the bone around your eyes. An important variation of this is to massage the eyes with a figure-8 motion. For example start pressing into the upper right eye and massage down to the bottom left eye. Continue massaging around the left eye until you land on the upper left eye and now you crossover to the bottom right eye, massaging / pressing down in a circle up to where you started – the upper right eye. Do this at least three times with a continuous flow – doing this while lying in bed is a relaxing self-care ritual. This has benefits beyond releasing toxins – it will ensure your energy is crossing over which important for our overall health, motivation and happiness.

One important note: Use this deep self-massaging tool all around your chest area, we have many important lymphatic points there that can store toxins if we do not release them and since the lyphatic system does not have it’s own pump / manor of circulation we have to do it for our bodies. So let me say strongly to woman what my teacher Donna Eden preaches…“NO WIRE BRAS!!!!!!!” They can trap toxins in the breast area and that can be physically harmful to us. Also keep in mind that our Spleen Meridian runs right through the sides of your chest…we do not want anything to hinder the spleen meridian as it is responsible for so much of our well-being.

For sexier bras I just cut the wire out but for everyday use I wear Coobie Bras and they are beyond comfortable and fit all sizes and have great colors. I bought the rainbow so that I have colortherapy options for everyday, no matter what I wear on top of it.

Other Great Self-Care Healthy Skin Tools:

The Natural Face-Lift

      • Facing a mirror, open your mouth and, while tightening your cheek muscles, move your mouth as far as you can to the right and then the left. Then, puff up your cheeks with your mouth closed, sort of as if you were blowing something up. Repeat at least two times, twice a day.

Chin Tuck
Holding your head and neck up, slowly pull your chin and head back and then forward as far as you can. Repeat several times. Then, with your shoulders back and head held high, use the back of your hand to tap under your chin. Repeat several times.

Chin Definition
Lift your chin, stick out your tongue and try to touch your nose. Repeat several times.

Sinus Drainage
Using the tips of your middle and index fingers, apply pressure first on the inside of your brow bones and then underneath your cheekbones. When you begin, feel around until you experience sensitivity to the pressure. Push in and up for thirty seconds. Repeat at your brow bones.

Relaxing The Face and Neck
Let’s face it, sometimes we all work and worry too much. When you experience a day fraught with pressure and anxiety, try the following relaxation technique. Crunch up your face as tightly as you can while squeezing your shoulders up and in. Hold for four counts and release. Repeat three times. Then, pretend your face, neck and body are like a rag dolls and shake everything loose. Don’t forget about your hands and feet. Afterwards, do some light stretching…forward and backward and side-to-side.

Other Thoughts On Beauty

Make-up
Less is more, blend, blend, blend… I hope to bring our therapudic cosmetics back at some point but until then there are some good brands that do care about the health of your skin. Seek them out. Credo Beauty has a great selection. Basically, the fewer chemicals the better.

Skincare
“Don’t believe the hype” as Public Enemy says….use common sense and read your ingredient lists. I really stand behind my products, read about how I create them and I’d add that I consider all my ingredients sentient and respect them as such. I give gratitude to them, infuse them with healing energy and program increase your benefits. Through my energy work I raise the vibration of the ingredients and product and that gives you greater benefits. I am also on a mission to get people steaming their face on a regular basis. The benefits are immediate and a great time to take a moment for yourself to breathe in beauty, health and any energy you want to take in. Our Flowering Facial Steam is amazingly effective and delicious! It’s instant radiance!!!

Positive Thinking
If you always look on the bright side of things, you create a happier you. What you think about creates your reality, so by loving yourself and giving yourself positive affirmations you actually become your ideal self. High self-esteem is evident in the way you hold your head up and the way you walk and speak. Think beautiful and become beautiful. Try VisualizationRadiant Beauty and Sending Yourself Positive Energy.

Sleeping
Getting enough sleep is crucial…it’s true, we all need out beauty sleep! Your body and mind need to rest and recuperate at the end of the day, and not getting enough sleep makes you irritable and look bad, and it actually ages you! Getting 8 to 9 hours of sleep is a great anti-aging treatment and a way to achieve energetic wellness.

Tips For Healthy Youthful Skin
These are pretty much common sense:
– Get eight hours of sleep as often as you can.
– Drink at least 4 to 6 glasses of water a day.
Exercise. And, be active in general.
– Be a vegetarian, or least a respectful eater. Eat Consciously!
– Eat mostly whole, organic foods. Stay away from all processed foods and NO GMO.
Keep your GUT healthy. Gut health has gotten much attention recently and rightly so as it affects us physically and emotionally. An easy gut maintence meal is having some Kefir in the morning and throw in tons of nutrients. I grind up flax, chia, hemp, quinoa, sprouted millet and groats, and also add in some matcha and papaya enzymes and I can feel the gratitude from my body every time I have it. Feels amazing!
Do not smoke and limit alcohol intake.
– Give yourself a facial steam every week!
– Give yourself cleansing masks on a regular basis and always wash and moisturize your face – morning and night.
– Be aware of your facial expressions. If you find you’re tensing your facial muscles, affirm to yourself that your face is relaxed and soft.
– Give yourself facial massages on a regular basis. Moving out the toxins on a regular basis creates a noticeable difference. Ever notice how amazing your skin looks and feels after facial? Well, it’s partly because you’re massaging your face for an extended period of time, or shorter versions throughout the day.
Be happy. Studies show happy people look and feel younger, helping them to be healthier as they age.
Breathe in pink. Visualize pink energy with every inhale. It gives a youthful glow to you and your skin.
Fall in love. Even if you are already in a relationship, fall in love with that person all over again. Or, fall in love with a garden, a painting, a song; best thing ever is to fall in love with yourself.  Love everything and it will show beautifully.

Energy Medicine Testimonials

“Describing the affect of Cristina’s energy work is extraordinarily difficult because it parallels no other experience in my life. When I find myself in a place where I have lost my grounding, confidence or ability to think clearly I always turn to her. She is a true healer who communicates both verbally and energetically in order to assess where my body and energy need attention and guidance. I made one of the healthiest decisions of my life after a session with her brought me clarity and confidence to believe in my own choices and worth.

Cristina is not only a healer but a teacher. She has provided me with the tools to practice energy medicine in my own life, which I turn to when I am feeling stressed or insecure. After each session she gives me exercises to help me on my journey at that point in time. I also use her Tony and Tina aura spray daily and her adrenal support oils when I am working 12-15 hour shifts at work.

I cannot recommend her highly enough, not only is she truly gifted but supportive, kind and fun to be around.” Caitlin Roche, NYC

“I have had many sessions with Cristina over the last few years and I appreciate working with her for so many reasons. Cristina radiates positive, light-filled energy, and understands energy better than anyone else I have worked with. No matter what comes up for healing, Cristina is sensitive, adaptable, respectful, and able to intuit how best to approach each session. She draws not only on her deep experience and high-level skills in energy medicine, but also on her kindness, and compassion. I feel completely safe and supported during our sessions, and by the individualized “homework” she writes up for me to use after our sessions, too. Working with Cristina has helped me with physical health issues, as well as clearing ancestral energies, and giving me energy medicine tools to support myself independently. The depth of healing I’ve experienced working with Cristina amazes me. I feel healthier, more whole, more my true self. I am so deeply grateful to have found her.” T.H. Toronto, Canada

“Cristina is a truly gifted healer. I first went to her years ago, after a break-up. Both Cristina and her healing space were warm, calm and welcoming. At the time I didn’t know anything about energy healing or chakras. As I received her reiki treatment, not knowing what to expect, I began to feel the energy inside me move around, release, unlock. When she got over my throat chakra I was able to release tears, negative energy and blocks. I hadn’t realized how much our bodies hold and how working with our energy allows us to connect to our true selves. Her healing sessions give calm, clarity & confidence on your soul’s path.” Ashley, Brooklyn, NY

“I have tried every form of healing possible and I say without doubt I have never felt anything as powerful as Cristina’s healing work. I deeply trust her. I am thankful to have found her.” Jonny, UK“

“As a Ph.D. of social economics part of me thought energy medicine was not a real solution for my relationship problems but traditional therapy was not working. After one session with Cristina I understood its importance. Over the last two years she has transformed my life and my relationships. I feel I am a healthy person cable of healthy relationships. Thank you Cristina.” Annie, NY

“Cristina has a very unique form of energy healing. She somehow finds the root of my issues and guides me to see the larger perspective and solution. Even my therapist is happy I see her! I feel great comfort knowing she is always there for me. I could not have gotten through the last year without her.” M.H NYC

“Cristina has become a healing tool in my life, period. We have been working together on Skype for over three years and she has created a safe place for me to work on some very complex emotional situations. My spiritual and personal growth would not be where it is without her. Cristina I am grateful you are in my life, you are a true gift and I know I tell you that after every session so I am thrilled to tell the world how gifted and special you are!” John, Actor. Australia

“Cristina knows the powerful energy behind words and intentions and gently redirects the client (in this case me) toward an inner alignment where one’s beliefs and energy systems start to emerge, which allows the real healing process to begin. Cristina is down to earth and exceedingly humble yet I found her to be a powerful catalyst. There is an essential beauty in Cristina’s work where she helped me discover and trust in the true nature of my own healing abilities. She did this by acknowledging the wisdom of my body with its ancient coded knowledge in my DNA. Cristina created a bridge that helped unite the energies in my body that were blocked or stagnant. As it is a cataclysmic process you never know where this work will take you. Trust is an essential partner if you are to heal yourself of any significant illness. I would recommend any time spent with her worthwhile and promise you will not be disappointed.”
Michelle Lords, RN and Life Coach

“I was in a very dark place when I first sought out Cristina to help me see and feel some light and love. I always leave her energy center very relaxed, both mentally and physically! After several sessions I became much more aware and grounded and in a much better place! I often find myself thinking of energy exercises, taking deep breaths and doing figure 8’s if things are not going well and I always get back to being centered and less anxious!
Tina’s energy is simply amazing and gives me hope for a better and more enlightened existence on an everyday basis!”
Ronald Pledge, NY

“I have worked with Cristina many times and each session is more revealing than the last. I know when I’m feeling off but she gets to the root of the imbalances and straightens me right out! She intuitively knows what is needed and is a true healer, helping me leave each time with more clarity and feeling way more relaxed!”
Joanna, NYC

“I’ve been fortunate to experience some very exciting treatments from healers of many different modems but I can say the work Cristina does is of a superior efficiency to other disciplines. She is powerful beyond words and I have seen her change lives, she changed mine. Her healing style is the future of medicine and well-being and Cristina is a true natural.” Tony Gill, NY

“Whenever I do energy work with Tina, I immediately feel relaxed. She has a magical way of grounding my energy that makes me feel amazing. Tina is an endless source of knowledge and she has inspired me to LOVE more and connect with my higher self. Her energy is incandescent.”
Stephanie, NYC

“As a fan of alternative and Eastern medicine practices, I was referred to the services of Cristina Bornstein and became transformed after our first session together. After her chakra cleansing I experienced unparalleled clarity and energy. Her relaxed and compassionate personality made the session fun and very informative. I highly recommend her services and feel fortunate to be her client!”
Reyna Mastrosimone, NY

“Cristina, I am grateful for energy medicine and your wonderful guidance and touch. During the session I was able to release tightness in my body and you definitely took me to another level in this realm. I felt a subtle release and am so grateful and happy for I am seeing shifts in my thinking and certain perspectives I hold. I love this work! Also thank you for your explanation about the many ways I can release energy, among other instructive things you showed me. The angel who showed up taking notes is very much like you and me and has left me contemplating about my angels”
Jan, NJ

“I have always beenopen to alternative (non-Western) healing modalities but was not sure what to expect with my initial Energy Medicine session. I was surprised to realize certain energy deficits and imbalances in my body and how easy it was to make corrections through regular therapy and practice. I have been on a rigorous physical strength training program with a fitness trainer and immediately following my first Energy Session, I realized a dramatic increase in my energy and the overall weight I was able to lift. I highly recommend Energy Medicine therapy for personal growth and healing. It is the perfect complement to any lifestyle and an amazing way to help you achieve your personal goals in life.”

Waving Into The Chakras

Waving Into The Chakras
Inspired by Eden Energy Medicines Heaving Rushing In

It’s simple and powerful! I’ve been doing this for about 3-4 years now and it makes me happy every time! The benefits are limitless bringing joy, radiance and healing into your bodies energy systems. You can also customize this for whatever energy you are needing at the time. Sometimes we need comfort, other times bravery, just know wherever you need is available through this self-care tool.

1. Basic Quickie Version. Standing, sitting or lying down extend your palms upward, arms slightly extended but not much (no more than 1 ft.) as this is really one continuous movement where you open your hands upward briefly to bring radiant energy into the palms of your hand and then with a flowing wave motion you scoop that energy into your chakra(s). You start at your base chakra moving up to the crown. You may feel the radiance in the form of heat or even a tickle, it will be different for everyone, and some may see it, I sometimes see golden balls of energy in my hands and I connect to all the joy and love in the universe and then scoop it into each chakra. Remember you can call upon any energy you need, such as happiness, confidence, relaxation etc. I usually do this process pretty quickly and because of that as I move up the chakras I am creating crossovers at the same time. It’s like lacing the Nadis, except you are scooping in universal radiance as you go. I’ll make a video one of these days. Contact me if you have questions, this is really worth having in your self-care tool bag!

2. Shamanic Version. In Tikal Guatemala we were doing a sacred ceremony at night in the middle of a ruin that was an energy portal to the Pleiades star constellation. The energy was out of this world, literally! I wanted this radiant magical energy to become apart of me. I was laying down on the grass and began to do Waving Into The Chakras but the energy and my instincts were guiding me differently. Guiding me to make true wave motions. I opened my arms stretching them outward as far as they could go, palms up but my arms pretty much stayed parallel to my body, maybe slightly higher at times. This felt right because I wanted to get the earth energies as well as the cosmic ones. My palms were up and I let it fill with the high frequency energy I was bathing in and I slowly waived it into each chakra. It was a smooth and gentle gathering of the energies surrounding me and seeding within me. I did this several times, taking the time to lay my hands on the chakra I was feeding, and sometimes I didn’t do that, I was following the energy. Sometimes once the energy was waived into one chakra, in a continuous motion I let my hands / arms crossover to open my arms once more and repeat the process. I might say it felt profound but that seems cliché because the energy was like nothing I have ever felt. It was very loving, nurturing and radiant.

Please know you don’t need to be in some sacred place like this to connect to this kind of high frequency energy, you can do it in your backyard – intention is everything! Mother earth is wise so you can ask that she connect you with certain energies and / or places anywhere in the world – everything is connected!

3. I have found doing this in different environments and times of the day can really shift what you bring in. At night you can bring in moon energy and all its femininity, its gentleness and its radiance. Do it in the middle of the day and take in the power of the sun energy, which I have found to be energizing, uplifting and joyful.

You can of course always visualize any part of this process – our minds and intentions have great power!

Hope you enjoy!

Finding Your Inner Wisdom

Our inner wisdom is the best guide we have in life. Only we know what is truly right for us or not – it’s your unique path. Our inner wisdom, or intuition, can help us with small daily decisions or with life-changing ones.
A great starting place is to ask yourself do you trust yourself for real?

1. If you have a crystal or glass pendulum you spin it in front of your 3rd eye – bet. Your eyebrows and that helps to activate intuition. This is an Eden Energy Medicine technique.

2. With your middle fingers or pointer – whichever feels right to you – put them on the top of your nose and firmly press and you slide your fingers upward through your third eye, up to the center of your forehead and then spread them apart – each finger spread and moving towards your temple – do this a few times. This is an Eden Energy Medicine technique.

3. Sit and ground yourself either by rooting your feet into the earth or imagine a cord from the bottom of your spine that extends in to the earth – which ever you choose you let your roots or cord ground to a crystal or stone in the middle of the earth – once you are dimly grounded you rub and squeeze each pinky finger from the bottom all the way up and really give it a pull as if you are opening and pulling energy out – do this a few time – this pinky rubbing begins to open your intuition and the deeper you ground the farther out you can reach into the heavens / universe to ask your questions and search for what you want to know. This is an Eden Energy Medicine Technique.

4. Almost the opposite to the above is to sit quietly – do the grounding and pinky rub but you then tune inward instead of outward and you ask yourself a question and go into a no thought space and allow the answer to come up – most of the time if you set the intent to trust what comes up and you have given yourself some time to get into a meditative state you get the right answer right away and sometimes it’s so simple it’s surprising. This is a Shakti Gawain technique from various workshops.

5. Sort of a longer way is a shamanic technique which again includes centering yourself and really knowing what you want to know – you need to be very clear with what you want to know and you then ask “patchamama” (Mother Earth / father universe) which is essentially putting your question out to nature and then it will give you an answer but it’s usually in very off hand ways – like you will pass someone having a conversation and part of it will apply to you or you will notice a sign / billboard that applies to your question – it really can come in any form – even a ray of light shining through the clouds or a bird singing just as you are thinking a specific way about what you want to know.
I did this once asking why I wasn’t getting something I wanted and on my walk to work I saw a huge billboard with my name on it and I stopped walking in shock b/c I took that walk everyday and I never had seen it and then boom the day after I asked my question it went up and I new in my gut it was the answer – it was saying I was getting in my own way.
So this shamanic technique takes some trust and being very open to everything and everyone around you – you have to be open to accepting that you are indeed being sent this message. This is a John Perkins Technique from his Shapeshifting Audio tapes. We sell these so just email us for them and you can find a detailed description of the tapes here, scroll to #4.

A note: You have to give yourself time and space with all these options – sometimes when we allow ourselves space and don’t rush to the first thing that comes to mind or try to analyze other deeper truths surface

And remember slow deep breathing with no thoughts really calms us and allows you to have a blank canvas where answers can appear:)

Your 2nd, or Sacral Chakra, is our first intuitive center in our bodies and our 6th, or 3rd eye, chakra is our main intuitive center so clearing and balancing these chakras will help clear the way for you to be your own best guide in life!

Daily Activities To Keep You In Vibration

To follow your path and to attract what you want in your life it all begins within you, as I’m sure you know. There are certain things we can do daily to stay in vibration with what we want, such as feeling loved, joyful, confident, inspired, healthy etc. these daily activities are joyful things so fear not – this is not meant to be a burden to your “to do” list.

If you feel any of this is a burden examine why that is – is it internal resistance? If it is take some time to ask yourself why, i.e. “If I know that stopping what I am doing for a quick stretch will make me feel great why don’t I want to do that? Where is the resistance?” Eckhart Tolle speaks about being attached to your pain body – is your pain apart of how you define yourself? Just ask yourself a few questions and see what comes up.

And I have to add “I work in a large office where I can’t do that” is not a valid excuse – I have many clients who tell me they go into the bathroom and do whatever energy exercise they need and they feel better so look at the excuses you tell yourself. We are all experts at rationalizing why we can or can’t do something – what we should or shouldn’t do; I’d actually say we are all masters of it and that’s a whole other story.

I understand it can be difficult in this crazy never stop culture we live in and you may feel you are so busy and really can’t find a moment for yourself and if this is the case perhaps you want to restructure your day slightly – just a bit. One absolute is you must find you time everyday – it can be just a few minutes but it has to happen – especially when you are trying to change your life and the vibration of who you are.

Here are some great options to put you in and keep you in the vibration you want. Do one, a few or all – the only rule is to do at least one of these things a day and I bet if you start with one you will want more.

Happy Vibrations Everyone!

Daydream. Easy to do anywhere, anytime. When we daydream which is a form of visualization you begin to actually feel what it would be like to be in that beautiful daydream and when you feel it you believe it and that puts you in vibration with it.
Meditate. People get scared away from this because so many speak about how you must do it for 20-30 minutes a day and you think no way do I have the time but I can tell you from experience that 3-5 minutes will change your day!
Breath. This really goes hand in hand with meditation but just take a few slow deep breadths and it can change your mood and day. Deep breathing is amazingly affective to our mental state!
Spend time outside. Whether in the city or country or somewhere in-between we need to let our energy and mind take a deep breadth and give you room to expand and when your outside it’s the perfect time to ground. When we are grounded it’s easier to be in vibration with our dreams because as Donna Eden says “The deeper you ground, the farther out you can go” translating that to this topic we learn deeper roots allow for bigger dreams.
Expand. Open your heart, mind and energy and connect to the cosmos’s, to your source and give gratitude. Whether you are calling it by name, there are many, or if it’s just sending out a general energy of gratitude it will change your life. Gratitude is extremely powerful for you and everyone you interact with. When you show gratitude you are immediately sent positive energy. Gratitude just feels right and offers happiness in return. Gratitude is beautiful. When you’re in this great state of mind it’s easy to stay in vibration with what you want.
Journal. Gratitude journals are very effective but it can really be any kind of positive expression you want to make – just keep it positive – stay on the sunny side of the street – ignore any thunderstorms across the street – it’s your choice to walk in the light or sun in this metaphor. But the written word has power – I would even say don’t use the computer. Write in a journal that is exclusively used for this and if you are having a bad day you can look back and smile at all the things you are grateful for. Repetition is allowed ☺
The power of ritual. This is a bit deeper but I wanted to give you the information to offer more options. We all resonate with different things.

Creating Your Own Sacred Ritual

Rituals are powerful tools in our lives and when we make them our own we deepen the meaning. A ritual can be anything you make it, simple or complex, but it is a repetition of certain words, gestures and actions. It has religious origins from Paganism to Christianity. Many of my suggestions have been used since the dawn of time but I speak about them in terms of our current time space.

Creating Your Sacred Space
Energy will build and hold a space when it used time and time again for the same purpose. That is why I feel having an alter of some sort for meditation, or even reflective thought, is really important. I actually have two spots in my apartment where I meditate. And as soon as I sit in that area I can go deeper quickly because the energy is ready and has the vibration I want to go into.

An alter can be anything you hold sacred. For some that is nature for others it’s traditional / religious – it’s all perfect! I believe in many things – I take bits and pieces from all cultures and religions so my alter is very eclectic and I love it that way. I have symbols from Buddhism, Hinduism, Shamanism and representations from nature such as wood, crystals and objects that hold a sacred meaning to me, even a few pictures that represent a spiritual moment in time that I hold deeply in my heart. Most of what is on my alter has been there for many many years so it now “holds” the energy of deep and reflective thought, non thought and focused visualization.
Big or small your sacred space / alter will give you a beautiful space that is all yours! I have heard many people say it’s important to not let others touch things on your alter – that’s a personal decision but that said I think having people ask permission is valuable and honors the space.

Meditation
Meditation itself is a ritual but I like to add a beginning and ending. As a ritual I always do what I call The Three Gratitude’s before and after my meditation. I bow three times with my hands in the prayer position, once touching my forehead and I thank the heavens and all the powers that be, then in front of my heart and I thank all my selves (all aspects of who I am & my guides) and then palms facing down or even on the ground and I thank the earth. Sometimes just doing that on it’s own can be a great ritual!

Meditating under a tree is magical as well (that’s how the Buddha did it). If you have a tree you can befriend keep going to that one tree and whether you are conscious of it or not an energetic relationship will begin and strengthen over time. Trees are smart! Just read this and watch this. But in general when you sit up against a tree it grounds you deeply which increases a strong sense of self and life purpose.

Fire It Up! To Let Go & Receive
There are a few ways to do this. In your head as a visualization but I like the hands on version best to be honest – it feels more powerful but that’s a personal preference. It also depends on my time restraints and location. If I have little time or am in a public setting I go to the visualization but when I have the time I go hands on.

– The visualization – take some slow deep breaths in your nose and out your mouth and in your minds eye see a big bowl that has fire in its center. Begin to see what you want to get rid of and throw it in the fire for it to burn into the ether – it goes back to source where it is purified and recycled.

– Hands On – have two bowls, one for what you are getting rid of and the second for what you want to bring into your life. Make sure you do this is a space where the fire will not set your house on fire! Be mindful!!!! Take some paper and write down three things you want to get rid of and three things you want to bring into your life. I have found this to be very powerful when you do it with a friend or two.

Start with what you want to get rid of and read it out loud and then light it up and throw it in the bowl and sit and watch it burn. The way it burns can be informational as well – it’s not dissimilar to tea reading, just trust your intuition, divining how it burns is not the point here. Just watching it burn can be mesmerizing and deepens your focus on letting go. If you are with a friend(s) take turns doing the first part, each reading one of your three things, burning it and continue this cycle until all three things have been burnt in the bowl. Then move onto what you want to bring in using the same technique. Once done go outside and starting with the bowl of what you want to get rid of and say “I release this…” or whatever words work for you and toss the burnt paper out of the bowl and into the wind – everyone does the release first. Then do the same with what you want to bring into your life and again use what words work for you but I usually say “Everything I want will come into my life” and once this is done take a moment to say “So be it, so it is, for the highest good of all involved” – again whatever words work for you are just perfect – intention is everything.

Intention Candles / Light
These are fun, powerful and create beautiful ambient light at night. I’ve already written about this and you can read it though this intention candle link. I am pretty consistent doing these intention candles on every new and full moon – and especially on equinoxes and traditional holidays. Sometimes it’s elaborate and sometimes it’s not – to me as long as your intention is clear and true the universe hears you and honors you by you honoring it.

But I would add there are many other candle rituals that are beautiful, especially a rite of passage ritual and candle ceremonies on the equinoxes. The candles light is seen as a vehicle to bring you closer to spirit, as fire is an ethereal element, as is water. Usually candles are lit and paced to create a spiral (to honor cosmic sacred geometry) and each person walks through the spiral coming out on the other side as a new person or with a new “place” in life. For instance in Eden Energy Medicine the students walk through as a rite of passage to become certified practitioners and in the Rudolf Steiner world a child walks in silence through the path as they leave behind one grade and enter into a more adult grade.

Winter equinox has an especially beautiful ritual of everyone making their own lanterns and they place a candle in an apple, inside the lantern, and the spiral path has already been created and people walk silently from the inside outward as an inwardly gesture of winter. This also represent the end of the darkness as they enter the light coming back – this is to honor the earths seasonal rhythms. Each school or group of people will do this differently but they are all beautiful!

The Healing Bath
This to me has always been a sacred ritual, maybe my first because as a child I would fill the bath and then also leave the shower on to create my own magical secret water world. Soaking tubs are the best but any tub will do. Fill it with bubbles, aromatherapy and even colortherapy if you like! Add Epson and Himalayan salts, and Baking Soda and you have a healing bath. Light a candle or buy an ambient light that can change colors and you can create a sacred space. Water is healing and cleansing to the soul, as well as the body. This healing bath is enough in itself but if you want to add some extra healing / self-care you can hold your neurovasculars and / or do a chakra clearing and balancing – both are easy and nourishing to do in your healing bath.

Get In A River
If you have access to a stream / river that is not too deep you can create a serious cleansing ritual. I first did this with John Perkins in the Ecuadorian rainforest. We all shed our cloths and jumped in the river and laid down and let the water run over us and as we did this we affirmed it was washing away all our fear and anything unwanted in our lives – it was amazing, powerful and very energetically cleansing! Obviously this is seasonal for many people and many will want privacy but if you can do it, it’s very powerful and I do believe you can get the same benefits with a bathing suit on, of course, but honestly there is something sacred about being naked in the water – it’s primal and our energy seems to automatically know what it’s supposed to do – let go and be free!

Music and Dance
I put these together because for me and most of the people I know it goes hand in hand. Put on your “energy” music – whatever gets your energies buzzing and dance and sing away. Think about it – there are some songs that bring you back to a special and happy time in your life and you can access that anytime by listening to the song, and moving and grooving to it is the cherry on top – get funky, free and free form. That said the two are powerful rituals on their own as well.

Exercise
Many people use this as their ritual, especially yoga and dance. I grew up jogging so for me I can easily get into the no thought zone – and I’m getting crossovers as well (the runners high) so it’s an Eden Energy Medicine Therapy as well.

Cooking
It’s an art and when you cook consciously by using your positive thoughts to infuse into the food you can really get in the zone and if you cook for your family it can be you time or bonding time – both are great.

Other Random Ideas

– Dance under a full moon – with or without clothing. As a child of the seventies nudity was encouraged not shamed so I say lets put a bit of 70’s energy back into our 21st century lives. It’s very freeing!

– Sit in a talking stick circle where the only person who speaks is holding the stick and then it is passed on either by someone raising their hand to respond or just in a continuous circle. It creates a safe place for people to know they can speak at their own pace without interruption. This is usually done with a specific topic or intention.

– Any holiday can and is a ritual.

– Saging your home is a great cleansing ritual.

– Sitting down with your family for dinner is a beautiful bonding ritual that our modern society has seemingly pushed aside – bring it back into your home!

– Even sports games can be a ritual, albeit a noisy one but still a bonding can and usually does occur.

The point of any ritual is to honor you, all sentient beings, the world and special events. The events, or rituals, are meant to bring you closer to your inner being, your inner light. They are meant to create a feeling of oneness with spirit and that can take many many forms.

When creating your own ritual remember intention is everything!!!
Enjoy!

Positively Speaking…

The psychology buzz word for affirmations is “self-talk” Since I was a child I have been taught to say affirmations and honestly that’s exactly what it is – but I certainly don’t mind self-talk – whichever verbiage works for you is fine!

What we think and the stories we hold onto about ourselves and our life is what governs our reality – law of attraction. Most of us try to live with a positive mindset but we need to check in with our primal voice and see what that part of us is saying. You might say, “I love myself, I’m great!” and then somewhere in your subconscious the primal self says, “But I’m fat and stupid”. The primal brain loves to give us a laundry list of what our problems and fears are and what we can and cannot have – GREAT NEWS – this we can reprogram!

We tend to want the approval of others, it starts at a very early age with our families, then friends and then society and the media take over telling us how our lives should be and how we should look and act. Let all that go – free yourself! A free self is a loving joyful self.

A consistent positive dialog with yourself can re-train your primal brain and any negative habit patterns you may have collected throughout your life. Talk to yourself lovingly all day and night and the primal brain will catch on. We just have to untangle the mess of negative messages we are given, from others and ourselves.

Remember we are hardwired to be joyful loving beings – we just need to remind ourselves – and not make it a big deal. It’s not a big deal! It does not have to be time consuming and so I have put some choices below for you. I hope you connect with one or more of them and that it can help you be the best you possible!

How do we reprogram our negative thoughts and patterns?

1. Energy Psychology / EFT – tap that negativity out!
This is an emerging field of study that I have personally found VERY helpful.
I have had the honor of being around, and even assisting him once, David Feinstein, Ph.D. who is one of the pioneers of Energy Psychology and I learned a lot from him. I use it for myself as it’s an amazing self-care technique and I have used it with clients and they have reported back with very positive results.

What Does It Do to the Brain?
“Energy Psychology works by stimulating energy points on the surface of the skin which, when paired with various psychological procedures, send signals to the brain that may impact stress chemicals such as cortisol and DHEA, deactivate limbic system arousal, and rapidly alter neural pathways.” David Feinstein, Ph.D. – learn more

Here is a particular EFT video I love and connect with by Brad Yates

An interesting article from the Huffington Post

2. Holding Your Main Neurovascular Points – your forehead
This will relax you greatly and it’s one of the only times thinking or speaking about the negative is helpful. As Donna Eden will explain our forehead(s) are our main neurovascular stress points – meaning if we hold our hand(s) gently over the forehead it will encourage blood to come to your frontal lobe – rational thought and take it away from the amygdala, the “primal” area of our brain responsible for where we hold our fears. Therefore holding the main neurovascular points – your forehead – while thinking or speaking about something that bothers you will begin to re-train your brain to not be so stressed about that subject. It has many valuable benefits and it’s so easy to do anywhere, anytime! This is easy to do for yourself but also extremely lovely to do for a loved one.

3. Temporal Tapping
This is something Eden Energy Medicine teaches but it is an ancient technique from China – the Chinese have been way ahead in the healing game for thousands of years!

This is a great way to break habits, change negative beliefs and create new positive ones. We can change this neurological reprogramming. We tap around our temporal bone – this is on our triple warmer meridian so it calms us down and opens us to new ideas. Triple Warmer governs our habits, change and our fight or flight – it can also be a radiant circuit (a pathway of joy) if you work with it in that way – you can even just talk to it and ask it to be radiant but when we calm it we are able to accept new information much easier! Also our bodies respond to tapping very well! If you tap while saying self-suggestions you are especially receptive to it. This has been clearly shown in EFT / Energy Psychology.

We tap in a negative statement on your left side because the left-brain is more critical and the right side of the brain is more open to positive statements so we tap in the positive affirmation there.

Spend some time identify what you want or want to change – use wording that feels right to you.

For example you create a statement in the negative and positive.
The negative – “I do not eat when I am stressed out” or “I no longer feel insecure and I can ask for what I want” – notice it is not really “negative”
The positive – “I eat for health and enjoy my food” or “I know my value and easily ask for what I want?”

1. Start tapping on the left side of your head at the temple, around the ear and down to the base of your head / top of your neck – while saying out loud your “negative” statement. Tap with firm but not hard pressure and do this 4-5 times.
2. Repeat the taping on the right side using your positive statement 4-5 times
3. Our bodies and triple warmer does not like change so to really change a habit or belief do this a few times a day.
4. Very important is to make sure the wording is right for you. I suggest writing it down to make sure you are comfortable with the wording and there is great power in the written word as well.

Watch Titanya Dahlin in the 1 minute video
For a deeper “how too” experience watch Donna Eden
Here is a good article about it from Psychology Today

4. Positive Affirmations and Visualizations
Here we are at what I consider the base of the basics! If you don’t already know an affirmation is a positive statement you say to yourself. I was once on my way to visit my mother in the nursing home and I was completely overwhelmed, scared, and very emotional and felt very alone. I began to repeat, “I am strong, brave and loved” and within minutes I felt relief. It doesn’t mean I went into some dreamland where reality didn’t exist, but I was able to handle the day in a loving way. I was able to be present and help her.

Visualization is seeing and feeling yourself in a situation you want. The sports world is actually very progressive in this area. They are taught to visualize – to see themselves getting that hole in one or hitting that home run. It’s about seeing and believing you can do it!

This is an excellent article about the benefits of positive thinking from the Mayo Clinic!

The Power Of The Crossover

All of our bodies energy systems need to crossover in order to act and interact harmoniously and create optimal health and energy in our body on all levels – physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritually and of course energetically. This is the natural pattern of almost all our energies. Even right down to our DNA – which is a spiraling double helix crossing over and our right brain controls the left side of our body and right brain controls the left side – crossovers everywhere on every level of our being, even into our auric field – our body’s wisdom and need for crossovers is infinite!

When you are Homolateral it can stop all your other systems from operating in an optimal way so by making sure your energies are crossing over it allows your inner-physician to shine. I have listed various versions of how to incorporate crossovers into your life so scroll down. The goal of Eden Energy Medicine is to offer you as many alternative versions of any given self-care tool so that you can find just the right one for you!

If some of the self-care exercises on my site are not working for you try this exercise everyday or twice a day – sometimes our triple warmer will be on alert and this can cause you to be Homolateral thus hindering the harmonious interweaving of all your energy systems, which is how you can live a high vibration life where you are your healthiest self. So calm triple warmer and that will open up space for you to become a magnificent symphony of health, love and joy.

Much of this information is based on Eden Energy Medicine – if you are not familiar with it or her it’s a must! It’s the future of medicine and the future is now!

The Regular Cross Crawl

Benefits:
✴ Increases energy and helps if you chronic fatigue
✴ Enhances balance and co-ordination
✴ Balances right and left brain functioning allowing for optimum performance of your entire body and mind

How to:
Marching in place – or sitting, cross one hand to meet the opposite leg/knee. If you can it’s a good idea to let the arm crossing over to pass over your third eye as it moves to meet the knee on your opposite side. Do this as much as feels right to you but at least for about 30 seconds.

Homolateral Repatterning
Again feel free to watch our video version of this. Also see the how to from the source, our teacher and mentor Donna Eden.

I would do it this way all the time honestly. It can’t hurt and ordinary daily tasks can throw our energies into a Homolateral pattern (moving parallel) and that is just not what our energy wants or needs.
I would add that if you know you are Homolateral do this exercise at least 3-4 times a day. When I was severely Homolateral I had to do this every 30 minutes because my body would not “hold” the correct energy pattern.

Benefits: The Benefits Are For All Alternative Versions Too.
✴ Re-patterns your energy to crossover – the natural state our energy wants to flow
✴ Increases energy and helps if you chronic fatigue
✴ Helps you overcome depression
✴ In-creases your ability to heal
✴ Enhances balance and co-ordination
✴ Balances right and left brain functioning allowing for optimum
performance of your entire body and mind

How to:
Standing up, you are going to “march” in place in two ways – the wrong way and then the right way. The wrong way is lifting the same leg and same arm. The right way is lifting one leg to meet the opposite hand. If you can it’s a good idea to let the arm crossing over to pass over your third eye, this deepens the correction.
12 wrong/12 right, 12-wrong/12 rights and then 12-wrong/24 right.
You double the correct crossover the last time because this is how you want your energy to stay.

If you are physically not able to do this standing up or if you can’t reach your knee to elbow, don’t worry, just do what you can.
Do it sitting or lying down. Even the slightest intention of this movement will help, as will visualization. If you want to help a disabled friend, you can actually do this for another person by lifting her arms and legs for her and for anyone you cannot move / Paraplegics Donna Eden has great information.

Alternate Version #1
Using Figure-8’s.
Janie Chandler and Laurel Camden present in this video a fantastic way for anyone in who was in the military or for anyone who just doesn’t respond to the other corrections or if you want a quick and simple tool when you have limited time. I do it lying in bed sometimes and I can really feel my body responding!

It uses the power of the Figure-8 to create the crossover energy in our bodies. All you have to do is trace or lightly massage a figue-8 over your eyes. It doesn’t matter which way you go but you are creating horizontal 8’s over your eyes. Start in the middle / on your 3rd eye and then from there you choose which way feels most natural to you, moving lets say down below the right eye, moving to follow the outside of your eye to the top of your right eye and you land on your 3rd eye but you pass it by and continue to down under your left eye and again follow the outside of your eye to the top of the left eye and again you land on the 3rd eye and keep repeating this patterns, breathing deeply for at least 4-5 times.

Alternative version #1.1
Using Figure-8’s.
Dr. Melanie Smith has an incredible video of how to use figure-8’s to create crossovers in many powerful ways!

Alternative Version #2
Lacing the Nadis.
Stephanie Eldringhoff, Ph.D., first introduced me to this technique and I am aware that other modalities may teach this in a slightly different way – it’s all great stuff! Be on the lookout for a post only focusing on this – Stephanie has generiously given permission for us to reveal a sneak peek of her upcoming book so we will show Lacing the Nadis and it’s protocol in depth very soon!

I don’t have a video for this one but it is so simple, yet so powerful! The exciting news is I will soon be posting a chart of how to do this with a detailed explaination straight from the source Stephanie Eldringhoff, ph.D – Coming soon!

How too:
All you have to do is place your hands on the top of your head, palms crossing over each other and take a few slow deep breadths. Then you are going to cross-over or better worded weave all the way down your body and note in some positions your hand / harms will not be crossed over, remember you are weaving down your body. You really cannot do this wrong. I would use your intuition but as a guide take 2-3 deep breadths in each position.

Cross over to your temples
Then to your cheeks
Then to shoulders
Then to under your arm pits
Then to under your breasts
Then to the sides of your waist
Then to your hips
Then to the top or side of your upper thighs
Then to right above your knees, on the outer side of your legs
Then to between your knees
Then to the outer upper calf
Then to the inner angle
And then with your hands crossed over sweep them off your feet

Alternative version #3
The Hook Crossover.
This is a relatively new technique Donna Eden has presented and it’s super easy!

How to:
You put your left hand on your right shoulder and take a deep breadth and then with a very very firm touch pull with your fingers over your shoulder and slide your hand down your body diagonally / towards and down the entire left side of your body. Now you this on the opposite side the same way. Put your right hand over your left shoulder, deep breadth and then stringing pull your fingers over your left shoulder and let your hand slide down diagonally the right side of your body.
Always make sure to let your hands fully go from should to off the feet – it’s like you sweep it off your feet.
Do this a few times and you’re all set!

Maintain Your Healthy Crossover Energy Habit
Very firmly drag your fingers from your right shoulder to your left hip (or to left foot) and then drag fingers from left shoulder to right hip (or to right foot). You can do this in a very quick and flowing fashion…it can even look and feel like a dance.

For fun try using Poi Balls – they are a super fun way to fix and maintain your crossover energy.

What beautiful self-care tools to have to help yourself and others! Enjoy!

Crown Pull

Crown Pull Benefits:

  • Increased mental clarity, sharpens memory and clears negative and/or cluttered thoughts.
  • Opens the crown chakra and inspires creativity.
  • Can relieve a headache.

This is a basic Eden Energy Medicine tool that you can do anytime, anywhere. Gently place your hands on your forehead so that your fingers are facing each other. Begin to pull the skin toward your temples, smoothing out your forehead and begin to move upward until you reach your hairline. Then increase the pressure and drag your fingers apart, from the center of your head to the end of your hairline. Continue this all the way over the top of your head and down the back of your head ending on your neck. You might feel drawn to shake the energy off your hands after each “pull” – trust your intuition you can’t do it wrong.

The Crown Cleansing

After doing the basic crown pull I begin to use all five fingers on both hands to pull out what I don’t need. I spread my fingers apart on my head and drag them toward each other firmly until they meet in the middle. I imagine I am pulling out unneeded energy and then shaking it off. I state the intention, out load, “I am getting rid of everything I don’t need” or “I am letting go of all the head trips that I put on myself, or that I think others put on me”. Use your own words and you don’t have to say the same thing over and over, switch it up. Get specific, be non-specific or just get into the energy of what you are doing and enjoy this releasing exercise in silence just breathing deeply.

Do this over every part of your head for as long as you feel like it. It’s your body, your energy and you know exactly what is right for you.

Celtic Weave

Celtic Weave Benefits:

  • Weaves your auric field together
  • Encourages your energy to crossover
  • Weaves all your energy systems together
  • Integrates energy corrections you have already done
  • Is an effective self-protection tool

We want our energy crossing over…creating energetic symphony between all our energy systems and the world around us, the Celtic Weave is greatly helpful in the way! The traditional Eden Energy Medicine version is to take a few deep breaths as you bring the palms of your hand up to face each ear – about 3-6 inches out. Push elbows together, cross your arms over in front of you, creating an X shape and then swing arms out, fully extending arms. Then let your arms continuously cross over each other in a flowing manner, palms facing out as if you’re sweeping away anything you don’t need in your energy field. Keep doing this down your entire body making sure you have crossed over the neck, waist, hips and angles. Take a deep breath and roll your hands up your body like you are scooping up positive energy. Repeat 2-3 times.

You can also just raise your hands over your head and begin crossing over from there all the down to your feet and then make figure-8 with your arms back up your body. Dance with it, experiment and have fun with it.

Hormone Hook-up

The Hormone hook-up Benefits:

  • Balances and regulates hormones
  • Balances emotions
  • Calming

Eden Energy Medicine has very effective hormone balancing techniques. Take the palm of one hand and place it on your forehead so the heel of your hand is sitting on your forehead and the fingers rest on the top center of your head. Then with your other hand make a three finger notch with your thumb, pointer and middle fingers and place them just below the back of your head – slightly below the curve on the back of your head.

Another way to balance and regulate the hormones is similar to the above but you lay both hands on your head. In this version the fingers of both hands come to rest on the top of your head. Your fingers may touch or overlap and that’s fine. Hold this position for a couple of minutes while taking slow deep breadths.

If you like add intention to this exercise by taking a few slow and deep breadths. Breadth in balance and peace, breathe out excess and chaotic energy.

The Biology of Belief

The post title is a great book by Bruce Lipton exploring how our thoughts and fundamental beliefs help to create our realities. Throughout time we have discussed the power and potential of “energy” and we are still getting to know the art and nature of this powerful force that is both elusive and crystal clear all at the same time.

Energy and its interconnectedness to us, and everything is extraordinary. To stop and think about the vastness of that concept is where the magic happens. When we are present within “everything” we can choose anything. We just have to believe. I admit I need reminding at times but that’s life and that’s ok.

Some ways to activate the power of your beliefs:

1. Be Grateful. Gratitude is a powerful energy. Keep a gratitude journal or less formally write down one thing a day you are grateful for on a scrape of paper and begin a gratitude wall in your home. Get artistic and have fun with it. Don’t judge and think oh this is too small to write down, such as “I am grateful I got the mail today” – we’ve all had those days. Just laugh at yourself and at know how loveable you are because you are.

2. Live in love. Love can change everything if you allow it to live in and around you. This one can be tricky – whether subconscious or not, we can be our own worst enemy. We think we don’t deserve love, or we create roadblocks for ourselves and that can trigger triple warmer to “freeze” us in those unhelpful emotions. Push through and fake it until you make it. An Eden technique I find very helpful is to put your hands over the center of your chest and “rake” your fingers outward and upward as if you were opening your chest / heart center.

If it’s all about our thoughts affirmations are a powerful tool. Tony and I have been saying a variation of this for over 15 years and we always feel better after, “I am an open channel to the love and light of the universe…(take a breadth)…I am love” and repeat as necessary. What you think you create – so think about and dream about love. Tell yourself everyday that you love yourself and give yourself a hug.

3. Choose happiness. No matter what is going on in your life (almost) you have a choice about how to feel. When I am out of balance I can make things into a bigger deal because I am “looping” a story in my head. Many things can distract us from happiness but recently if these old habits come up I mentally dissolve then through visualization or I just make a strong affirmation that I do not accept the negative emotion I might be feeling and I affirm to myself that happiness really is a choice and that is what I choose. So be it.

A few things to be aware of:

We are really living in a time of accelerated energy and that means we are all feeling things on a deeper level and it is seemingly one thing after another but we can change the story to focus on great things happening one thing after another – even if in the beginning its only in our dreams. Dreams are a powerful tool to put us in vibration with what we are wanting, so dream on.

The collective unconscious greatly affect us – all this energy floating around waiting to be pulled towards energy that is like itself, whether it be positive or negative – its a precarious place if you are not in a great mind set – the law of attraction is powerful. The fantastic thing is you are powerful and in control of you. You can choose what you allow into your energy field. You can choose how you feel through your thought patterns.

The Bottom Line:

You are brave, strong and loved. Deep happiness is yours for the taking!
YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE.

Following The Energy

Donna Eden always says to “Follow the energy” and this isn’t only for Energy Medicine its for life. I just had a very powerful trip to see my mother, which I will be writing about soon, but since I’ve been back I have felt a deep inner centeredness and peace.

This afternoon all the sample oils I had ordered for our hormone balancing formula arrived and I let them sit there for a few hours, went for a walk and when I came home I felt drawn to the oils. I watched myself, without thinking if that makes sense, begin to follow the energy. I sat with 10 essential oils in front of me and I instinctively picked up each oil to see if it felt right and I ended up with five oils. I set my intent of what I wanted the benefits to be and smelt each oil and immediately I knew which to use more of and which to use less.

The samples are small so I used a dropper to measure out the formula, 30 drops of this, 10 drops of that etc. – converting that into a 1/4th or ½ oz bottles will be super fun, not really. So now I have this small bottle maybe ¼ full and its golden to me. I really believe we have guides and that without doubt I had help making this formula. I had been a bit nervous because you never know – sometimes it just comes to you and sometimes it ends in tears. I’m wearing it now and feel amazing. I feel a deep sense of stability and joy.

I don’t want to build it up, it’s all subjective. I will say this, it’s powerfully effective. I am so grateful I followed the energy and I can’t wait to share it. The name could change but we’re thinking “Hormone Balance : Formula #1”

I wanted to share this because when we are clear within ourselves we allow inspiration to flow through us. When we let that inspiration manifest into anything we do in our lives we can feel immense joy. Working on your self really pays and I am reaping the benefits. Self-care is the key.

Conscious Cooking

I should start with the Eden Energy Medicine motto – Test before you Ingest, you can watch Tony and I demonstrating this on our sister site. You want to try energy test anything you ingest to make sure your body wants it at that time, but that aside for now here are some tools we both have used for a long time to increase the healthy energy of anything we eat.

The Beautiful Language of Energy

The beautiful language of energy is well understood by babies and young children. Some of us hold onto this natural instinct, the ability to get information from the energy we feel outside ourselves. Unfortunately this innate gift declines as intellect and societies judgments take over so many of us discredit it. Luckily this has been changing and you can even hear it in mainstream language now – “I didn’t like the vibe” – is an easily understood description for how a person feels about the energy of the situation or person.

At this stage in our evolution our internal wisdom is blossoming. More and more people are seeking to develop their intuitive knowing; we are getting in touch with “energy” as a global society. This offers great opportunities for more information about the powerful force of energy to be accepted as a legitimate healing tool and the opportunity to have a deeper personal understanding of it, which will bring about great personal and global transformations.

Of course it all starts with us so learning how to understand and trust your intuition is an essential life journey. I have always considered myself an intuitive person, I held onto allot of that childhood instinct but learning how to use it on call was another story. I think if we are in any dangerous situation our instincts automatically kick in but to consciously tune in and let it become a trusted guide takes practice. For me it was difficult to figure out which direction I was being pointed in – what was my yes / what was my no?

For me learning through failure was helpful. I would look inside my self anytime I got it wrong (I explored the feeling of getting it right as well but for some reason identifying why I got it wrong was more helpful). I would look for what it felt like and even what the texture and/or color of it was. For me when it’s right the feeling is light and clear and when wrong heavy and dark. But as there are many feelings in between feelings and some of it remains a mystery…the journey continues. Keep at it, practice will boost your confidence!

Some helpful hints are:

  • Clear and balance your 6th chakra
  • Always ground yourself before opening to the cosmos
  • Spin a crystal in front of your third eye
  • Crown pull – firmly create space with your fingers from the center of your head outward, from hair line to bottom of neck.
  • Gently rub forehead with palms of hand from the third eye out
  • Rub pinky finger
  • Set the intention that you are tuned in
  • Ask for help from your higher source and/or guides

Whenever you open to outside energy always set your boundaries. You choose what energy comes in so state that intention, such as “I only invite loving presence and healing forces to come into my energy field” or “the information I seek will come to me with love” and to this end some other essential energy medicine techniques are helpful such as the zip up and making sure your auric filed is strong.
